Here is a look at eight players who scored 10 or more points in three contests played in Topeka for each team’s first respective game.
Makenzie Farmer Makenzie Farmer 5'9" | SF De Soto | 2025 State KS , 5’10”, PG, De Soto, ‘25
Junior point guard Farmer had a solid first game against Shawnee Heights. She finished with a game-high 18 points in an eight-point victory over the Thunderbirds. Farmer shot almost 50 percent from the floor and was an impressive 4-for-5 from the free-throw line. Farmer made two three-point field goals in the win.
Reianna Vega Reianna Vega 5'11" | SF Shawnee Heights | 2026 State KS , 5’11”, Shawnee Heights, ‘26
Vega is a solid two-sport prospect. She had a team-high 12 points for Shawnee Heights in the loss to De Soto to open the season. She shot 4-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. Vega does a nice job of cleaning the boards and can create her shot.
Rachel Swift Rachel Swift 6'1" | C Shawnee Heights | 2024 State KS , 6’1”, C, Shawnee Heights, ‘24
Swift is a dangerous inside scoring threat for Shawnee Heights. She scored 10 points for the Thunderbirds on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.
Brylee Meier Brylee Meier 6'0" | PF Hayden | 2025 State KS , 6’0”, PF, Hayden, ‘25
The Wildcats have a junior post player for college coaches to start watching. She scored 14 points in Hayden’s season-opening victory over KC-Washington. Meier shot an impressive 6-for-8 from the field and dominated the paint against the Wildcats from the East.
Norma Greco Norma Greco 5'4" | CG Hayden | 2025 State KS , 5’4”, PG, Hayden, ‘25
Hayden might have a solid inside-outside scoring combination for the next couple of seasons. Greco scored a game-high 17 points in the win over Washington. She scored 10 points from the field and then added seven points from the free-throw line on eight freebie shots.
Kinley Christopher Kinley Christopher 5'11" | SF Basehor-Linwood | 2026 State KS , 5’11”, F, Basehor-Linwood, ‘26
The Basehor-Linwood Bobcats started their season with a lopsided win over Topeka West. Christopher was the leading scorer in that contest with a 17-point night. She shot an identical 5-of-8 from the field and the free-throw line.
Harley Baker Harley Baker 5'7" | CG Bashor-Linwood | 2024 State KS , 5’7”, SF, Basehor-Linwood, ‘24
Baker scored 14 points in the Bobcat win. I scouted Baker during the volleyball season, and she told me basketball was her favorite sport to play. She had an off-shooting night finishing just 5-of-14 from the floor, but was perfect on her two free-throw attempts.
