Pierce has quietly become one of the more fundamentally sound guards in the Indianapolis area. The Center Grove shooting guard consistently produces while playing within the flow of the game. Her offensive game is built around efficiency. Pierce understands shot selection, makes smart decisions, and rarely forces unnecessary opportunities. She is capable of knocking down perimeter shots while also attacking closeouts and creating quality looks.
The ability to play with or without the basketball makes her especially valuable. Pierce moves well in offensive sets, cuts effectively, and understands how to create spacing for teammates. Defensively, she brings discipline and effort. She consistently competes against opposing guards and demonstrates strong awareness within team defensive concepts.
One of Pierce’s most attractive qualities is her basketball IQ. She processes the game at a high level, which allows her to impact winning in ways that extend beyond scoring. With continued offensive development, June presents an excellent opportunity for Pierce to showcase her complete skill set to college coaches.

had a very solid spring AAU season and continued proving she can impact games as a scoring guard with size and skill. Pierce has the ability to score at all three levels and looked more confident offensively throughout the evaluation period. She did a great job attacking gaps, finishing through contact, and knocking down perimeter shots when defenses collapsed.
Her versatility stood out this spring because she can play both on and off the ball effectively. Pierce showed improved patience as a decision-maker and consistently made smart reads in transition and half-court sets. Defensively, she competed with effort and used her length well around the perimeter. With continued development, Pierce has the potential to become one of the more complete guards in Indiana’s 2027 class.

Mackenzie is a proficient 3 point shooting threat, good smooth shot. Hit consecutive threes in the game I saw to help set the tone in the game. Plays the game with a high motor, intensity, and her on-ball defense is exceptional.

MacKenzie also had a really nice, well-rounded game for the Trojans, and she came up huge at the beginning of the fourth quarter. With Center Grove trailing, 43-38, MacKenzie opened the quarter with a 3-pointer, then turned around and buried another at the 5:22 mark to break a 43-43 tie, and Center Grove never trailed again. She was 3-for-6 from deep on the night, finishing with 9 points, plus she contributed 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in the 56-53 Trojan victory.

CLASS 4A WILDCARD: MacKenzie is the type of player who can cause problems for Norwell’s defense. She is a nice athlete with some speed & quickness, she has length, but most importantly, she is an effective shooter who can also put it on the floor. With other capable ball-handlers on the Lady Trojans, if she is able to find space in the deep corners and they can get the ball to her, she could put pressure on Norwell’s 1-3-1 with her ability to make shots but also put it on the floor and attack the basket when they get to her quickly enough. Don’t be surprised if she makes 5 or 6 3-pointers.
