Fort Bend Austin is in the mix, and Hightower, who like the 2 teams mentioned in the title, are in the same district. Another SC, Shadow Creek could get in, as well as Pearland, and who knows who else might be on the verge because in a one-game match-up, you only have to be the best team that game
I had a chance to catch Summer Creek at King last Saturday and here are the standouts, recently added to the PGH Top 100 Heaven Jordan Heaven Jordan 5'6" | PG CE King | 2024 State TX was out with a slight injury yet she’ll be back for King and the game starts at the 1
White can blow by defenders in the set as well as in transition and watching her acrobatic finishes have been thrilling over the years. She does a good job of creating her shot to drop the jumper, her court vision is solid and she does good job defending both in the set as well as baseline to baseline
Simpson has consistently shown she’s one of the top sophomores in the city and before any else tries and take credit, she had it the first time I saw her in middle school. I talk about her full court passes, with either hand, in traffic yet she’s doing the same thing going full speed, with either hand. Her mid to long-range game is also solid, she scores off the dribble, defends well and has good upside
Perkins has shown so much progression since I first saw her in elementary school and I remember telling her to keep working and good things were heading her way. She analyzes the game, well her mom played in the W and listening to her break things down were better than some of these so called experts popping up daily, yet speaking of popping up, her interior defense and scoring around the basket will be key on how far they go, plus she can drop the jumper
Taiya Kikunga
Taiya Kikunga
Kilunga has gradually progressed since I first caught her with her Houston Lady Nets squad and to say I saw it coming, that’s I wen t solo covers so many aspects yet her size, over the magic number, and college ready frame were already there and with a little bit of this and that which has been tweaked, she will be a hot commodity for next level coaches
Alexander is a long and athletic guard that can drop it with the stop and pop as well as elevate over defenders to shoot it in the set, with a hand in her face, from mid to long-range. She will be a key component on her team as far as how deep they can go because she also defends, plays the passing lane and blocks shots
Alexander, yep their twins, has gone from a back to the basket scorer to showing she can knock down the jumper from mid to long-range in the set. She also uses her strength to overpower players, she attacks strongly and finishes after contact yet her interior defense and going after everything off the rim will be huge for the run
Kasim is falling into that “clutch shooter” category to go along with being “long and athletic. I watched her drop a couple of big 3’s on Saturday, while being defended that both started and stopped runs yet her ability to play multiple positions and defend both in and outside the paint will be needed
Dee Wilson
Dee Wilson
Wilson is an athletic guard that uses her athleticism on both ends and her playing both the 1 and the 2 will be key
Aniya Cooper
Aniya Cooper
Cooper’s initial are AC yet she turned up the heat on the ball to help create turnovers. She also knocked it down from deep

Robertson is a “long and athletic” guard and that too is the base. I like the way she created her shot and elevated on the pull-up but she also did a good job creating havoc defensively
