Ella is around a lot of talented basketball players, playing on a very skilled Illinois Spartans AAU team, and competing for a spot on Loyola Academy’s elite varsity program. So as she develops as a player, she has a chance to learn from some of the best in the state.

She has a confident stroke on her 3-pointers, and even if she misses a couple shots, she keeps her confidence in pulling up on her signature shot. And she has the skillset to also drive to the basket and draw an and-1 opportunity.

Ella says she wants people to notice her shotmaking abilities, and her teamwork.

Ella is part of an Illinois Spartans team that had two dominant wins on Saturday; outscoring their opponents by a combined 89 points.

Ella is a deadly 3-point shooter, making four shots from deep against Illinois Dream . She finished that game with 16 points. She can make shots from distance, but she’s also capable of driving into the paint and connecting for an and-1 basket. She’s a great shooter from all 3 levels.

She takes pride in an ability to get herself open, while also finding teammates when she needs to.

This Loyola freshman class is deep, and Hesnan is one of many strong prospects. She’s longer than her height gives her credit for, but this kid stretches the court, and as a lefty, she knows how to take advantage of situations that favor her. Strong on the defensive side as well.
