The North Polk Comets put together a solid Winter season these past few months, showing their worth almost every evening. They played with tenacity, determination, and a lot of strategy. One of their most consistent players, not only this past Winter but throughout the past 3 seasons has been their starting PG/SG, Abby Tuttle Abby Tuttle 5’8″ | SG North Polk | 2025 State IA . Tuttle is a University of Northern Iowa commit and a heck of a competitor. She has a beautiful shooting stroke from any where on the floor, while being agile and shifty with the ball in her hands. She understands pace of play and has the ability to switch up which speed she is attacking her opponents with on a consistent basis. In this Update, Tuttle only moved up a handful of spots but it’s noteworthy. In a 2025 Class that is STACKED with collegiate level talent, to stand out or move up in anyway at this point is impressive. I would say if you are looking at this Class as a whole, Tuttle is one of the more impressive Guards. She is obviously committed to a great program at the next level but she shows her worth every night in one way or another. I’ve personally never seen her step on the floor and become a non-factor. When her team has success, she is usually having a great game. If they don’t, she is usually struggling. I’m excited to see where this Comet’s team could take things next season. For all intents and purposes, I’m sure they are going to be right back in the State Conversation at the end of the day but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
As of most recent, Grace Linder Grace Linder 5’11” | SF West Des Moines Valley | 2025 State IA received her first collegiate offer to play at the next level at the University of Dubuque and I think this is just the start. Linder has size, speed, athleticism, and talent. She understands her own ability to a T, while never forcing any action on either side of the floor. Within her Valley Program this Winter, she never really saw the Varsity floor but that’s okay. She has still demonstrated that she can bring a lot of positives to the court, no matter the situation. I think that Linder’s recruitment is going to sky-rocket over this next year. She is going to be seeing the floor at the Varsity level every contest this upcoming Winter, while she is also competing with a competitive AAU team for the Spring. When coaches come to watch her team’s perform, she is going to stand out and bring in some curiosity. This is the ideal situation of, “if you good enough, they will find you.” I’m sure that Linder is going to be “found” sooner, rather than later in this situation.

Aubrie Haynes Aubrie Haynes 5’6″ | PG Bondurant Farrar | 2025 State IA is one of the best pass-first PG’s throughout this 2025 Class in the State of Iowa. Haynes is a gamer. Someone that can lead her team with pace of play and communication. When you look at PG’s now a days, everyone thinks that you have to be able to shoot like Steph Curry and that’s just not the reality. It’s obviously a plus to be able to shoot the rock like that but it’s not reality of what the PG position is. A great PG needs to be able to adapt to their surroundings, they need to lead their teams by example, and they have to be willing to do whatever it takes to help their team win. Even if they don’t get any praise for it. I think that Haynes checks off all those boxes. She is good enough to knock down shots on rotation but she understands what her job is within her team’s offense every evening. I’m not sure where Haynes will end up at the next level but she can hoop so i’d be surprised if she didn’t get any offers/looks over these next few months, that’s for sure.

Whenever we talk about Sioux City East and their fantastic girl’s program, we have spoken on their high-end prospects that are receiving D1 interest but another prospect that has been a constant for them over the past few seasons at the Guard position is Makenzie Demke Makenzie Demke 5’6″ | PG Sioux City East | 2025 State IA . Demke isn’t going to kill you with any insane moves but moreso with her patient and disciplined play-style. Whenever you have a prospect on a team with multiple D1 level talented players, it can become hard to make your presence known but Demke does a great job of doing that. She makes the most out of her opportunities a majority of the time, while always being willing to step up and take on any assignment that her coaches might give her throughout a contest. This Spring Demke will join up with her Nebraska Attack UAA team for another go around. If she can do what she did during the high school season and make the most out of the opportunities that she is given, I’m sure there is going to be a coach or two out there at the next level, who are interested in her and her future.
Ella Moser Ella Moser 5’8″ | SG Cedar Rapids Kennedy | 2025 State IA brings an aggressive demeanor, an intelligent mind set, and a seasoned play style to the court whenever she laces them up. I would describe Moser as a game manager. Another PG that can lead whatever team is given to her because of her intelligence on the floor. She is very good at making a game her “own” in several different ways but her best ability is to set up those around her for success. Sure she can shoot it and score it at a steady and even rate but more-so, she is nasty off of the dribble with the ability to pass in a plethora of different ways. The past couple of years, Kennedy High School has had a subpar record for the most part but something that has been a constant is the play of Moser. She moves effortlessly with the ball and she is always willing to make the extra pass to an open teammate for a better shot. If a college coach out there is looking for a PG that won’t hurt you by small mistake and they can lead, Moser could be your girl. She brings a lot of positives to the floor so as long as she has the pieces around her, she is going to be success throughout any competition she competes in.
