I would describe Moser as a game manager. Another PG that can lead whatever team is given to her because of her intelligence on the floor. She is very good at making a game her “own” in several different ways but her best ability is to set up those around her for success. Sure she can shoot it and score it at a steady and even rate but more-so, she is nasty off of the dribble with the ability to pass in a plethora of different ways. The past couple of years, Kennedy High School has had a subpar record for the most part but something that has been a constant is the play of Moser. She moves effortlessly with the ball and she is always willing to make the extra pass to an open teammate for a better shot. If a college coach out there is looking for a PG that won’t hurt you by small mistake and they can lead, Moser could be your girl. She brings a lot of positives to the floor so as long as she has the pieces around her, she is going to be success throughout any competition she competes in.

In a Kennedy Cougars program that has had some greats in past few seasons, it’s been hard for the young grade levels to step up at a high level, but that all changes this winter. Once this season tips off you are going to hear the name Ella Moser Ella Moser 5'8" | SG Kennedy | 2025 State IA , a good amount, when it comes to guards who can play at the next level, out of the Cedar Rapids area. Most recently Moser was offered by Saint Xavier University, an NAIA program out of the Chicagoland area. As for now, she is going to play out the rest of her 16U season with her Team Iowa AAU program this July and reassess her options moving forward from there. This has been a great spring/summer season for Moser, now she just needs to build on it.

This weekend she helped her team put on a successful performance in each game, helping them to an overall dominate weekend against some elite competition. I really like Moser’s play style on the court. I think that she keeps it really simple but also possesses a good amount of skill moves to help her dominate her opponents in 1 on 1 situations. She has nice size and strength to go along with her skill and that shows in her play-style. She isn’t afraid of contact and does a good job of playing through it while being unselfish enough to make the extra pass if she see’s an open teammate with a better scoring opportunity. This Team Iowa 2025 Blue Star team that she is on is loaded with D1 talent. I’m excited to see the season that they are going to put on this spring/summer, all over the midwest.

Playing the shooting guard position most of the time, Moser has the ability in high school to bring the ball up and play the point guard spot as well. She comes in at a good length, athleticism, and speed for how she plays. Keeping everything in control and calm, while running the show. A major “pro” of her game is her ability to shoot the ball but not settle. She is a balanced jump shooter who knows how to find her own but isn’t going to force anything if it isn’t necessary. After coming off of a successful AAU season with Team Iowa Blue Star 15u, she will attempt to help make an instant impact in the Cedar Rapids-Kennedy program for high school ball. Her skill set will put her above others her age but seeing the floor at her age will tend to be her goal as the season progresses. In a program that returns a good amount of players from a year ago with some senior experience, it’ll be interesting if she will be utilized right away like she has the ability to be. Until then she will just keep her head down and working until she is called upon to take over as their leader in most, if not all facets of the game.
