The 3-point contest took place on day one and featured over half of all camp attendees. The rules were simple: Each participant had one-minute to make as many 3s as possible while shooting from any of the seven designated spots. After a great display of shooting, there were two participants -- [player_tooltip player_id='467055' first='Nakia' last='Mojica'], a 5'6" junior from Hobbs, N.M. and Victoria Duran, a 5'6" sophomore from El Paso, Texas -- tied with 11 3PM. To settle the score, a tie-breaker round was implemented with each player once again getting one-minute to make as many as possible. Up first was Duran, who made eight giving her a total of 19 3PM. Mojica followed and knew she needed nine to win. Nakia went on to hit that exact number, ultimately giving her the win. Nakia finished with 20 total 3PM.

It was evident that Duran was in rhythm behind the arc. Victoria stays balanced, has good lift on her shot and holds her follow-thru.
