Woods participated in one of the lower-scoring contests of the day when 5A Chapin matched up against 2A Blacksburg during the afternoon portion of Chapin Shootout Friday. She may have only scored five points, but those buckets mattered in a contest where scoring was at a premium. Woods would compete in 25 of Chapin’s 26 contests last season. Woods played her middle school basketball at nearby Chapin MS before arriving on the scene with the high school team. She was one of three from the class of 2028 on last season’s Eagles team and primarily plays point. Ball distribution and collecting steals are among the positives to Woods’ game.
