had a productive and promising AAU spring that highlighted her upside as a versatile wing prospect in the 2027 class. Rutland’s athleticism and length immediately stand out when watching her play, but what impressed most this spring was the growth in her overall confidence and offensive approach. She consistently competed well against talented opponents and showed flashes of becoming a very impactful two-way player.
Rutland is at her best when attacking downhill and playing aggressively in transition. She runs the floor extremely well and uses her athleticism to create scoring opportunities around the basket. Throughout the spring, she showed improvement in handling the basketball in space and becoming more comfortable creating her own offense. She also flashed the ability to knock down perimeter shots, which adds another dimension to her offensive game moving forward.
Defensively, Rutland has tremendous potential because of her size, quickness, and versatility. She can guard multiple positions and plays with active hands while using her length to disrupt passing lanes and contest shots. Her rebounding ability also stood out this spring, especially on the defensive end where she consistently helped finish possessions.
McKenzi’s ceiling remains very high because of her physical tools and developing skill set. As she continues to gain confidence offensively and polish her perimeter game, she has the potential to become one of the more dynamic forwards in Indiana’s 2027 class.

McKenzi has put together consistent performances throughout the Spring, and she continues to use her power and physicality to create space around the basket to finish inside. At the same time, she has also knocked down one or two 3-pointers per game, showing she does have some touch outside and can be used in either pick-and-roll or pick-and-pop situations. Defensively, she is a solid box-out rebounder, and she does a nice job of rooting her opponent out of the paint and forcing them to play in uncomfortable areas of the floor.

McKenzi deserves a lot of credit for the way she competed throughout the weekend, as she consistently played at a very high level every time she stepped on the floor. Her poise and overall feel for the game immediately stood out.
One of the things I liked most about her game was that she never seemed rushed. McKenzi allows the game to come to her naturally, which is something many players at this level still struggle with. She stays patient, plays under control, and makes smart decisions within the flow of the offense. That composure helped her remain effective throughout the game.
Offensively, she showed the ability to impact the game both inside and outside. Whether it was scoring around the basket, attacking opportunities when they opened up, or stepping out and making plays from the perimeter, she displayed a versatile skill set that makes her difficult to guard.
Her combination of patience, skill, and versatility makes her a player that college coaches should continue keeping on their contact list moving forward. McKenzi’s ability to play at her own pace while still producing at a high level continues to make her a standout prospect.

McKenzi has long been a strong, physical, assertive enforcer inside the arc, and she has been highly productive for North Central. This weekend she showed that physical presence and occasionally earned fouls for her strong play, but that attitude should serve her well at the next level where it gets more physical. At the same time, she also did a little more around the perimeter than I have seen in the past. She put it on the floor, especially right-handed, and attacked the basket North/South. Additionally, she shot the 3-pointer and knocked down a couple in the 3 games I was able to see.

continues to stand out with her consistent play and impact on the floor. As she heads into her senior year, this spring and summer will be important, and she is already beginning to generate attention through her performance at the Shamrock Classic.
She recently picked up an offer from Mount St. Joseph University, and it’s clear she is a player who will continue to draw interest from college programs. McKenzi has the ability to score both inside and outside, making her a versatile offensive threat. Her skill set allows her to operate effectively in multiple areas on the floor, whether she is finishing around the rim or stepping out and knocking down shots.
What also stands out is her ability to see the floor and make plays for her teammates. She understands how to read the defense and make the right decision, which adds another layer to her game.
As she continues to perform at a high level,

has been one of the most impressive players to watch this season, not only for how she impacts the game on both ends of the floor but also for how coachable she is in live action. What she brings to North Central is significant—her footwork inside the paint allows her to finish efficiently in traffic, while her ability to step out and knock down shots from around the perimeter makes her a versatile scoring threat. For a junior forward, her combination of skill, awareness, and willingness to learn sets her apart and makes her a key piece of the team’s success.

is what I would call the X-factor for this team. She has an excellent feel for the game and consistently puts herself in the right spots to score, which has been a huge boost for North Central’s offense. She finished the night with a team-high 17 points, showcasing just how important she has become.
McKenzi plays with a calm poise and patience that immediately stands out. Her game is smooth—she can step out and hit the three, but she’s also very effective getting two feet in the paint or operating around the elbow area to create high-percentage looks. That versatility makes her difficult to guard and allows North Central to use her in multiple ways.
She’s rapidly becoming a key contributor on both ends of the floor, and with two more years ahead of her, McKenzi is shaping up to be an essential piece of North Central’s future success.

McKenzi is a somewhat deceptive front-liner who is a walking double-double. She has a strong frame, broad shoulders, and she will absolutely play with physicality inside the paint. At the same time, she has a shiftiness to her, and she’s able to change directions to get around defenders or fight through screens when she is defending. She uses the dribble well herself, and she’s able to step outside and defend ball screen/dribble hand-off situations consistently. I expect for her to have a big Winter for the Lady Panthers.

McKenzi is a broad-shouldered, strong, physical frontline presence who likes to seek contact. She plays with a really nice motor and some urgency, and she runs the floor hard as well. She has really good hands, but she’s also very nimble on her feet and possesses balance & nice footwork around the paint. She is able to establish herself early, catch the ball cleanly, and finish a variety of odd-angled scores around, over, and through taller, longer athletes.

McKenzi is really starting to become a problem for her peers. She plays with a nice motor, she’s extremely physical & powerful, but she also moves well and can “out-quick” most opponents who try to match her physicality. She has soft hands, nice touch around the rim and in the mid-post, and she can put it on the floor 2-3 dribbles to get somewhere productively. I also appreciate her ability to rebound, whether it be by blocking out or chasing down caroms outside of her area.
