Expert Analysis
Brandon Fisher | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Macy has a really good frame and size for her position which allows her to play with a strong and physical presence on the court. She finished well through contact and showed an effective package around the rim with her strength. Macy consistently plays with a high motor and competes on every possession which shows up especially on the glass where she rebounds with effort and intensity. Her body control stands out both on the ground and in the air and allows her to adjust and finish plays effectively. In transition, she does a nice job pushing the ball ahead with the pass and keeping the pace moving. Defensively, she also makes her presence felt with well-timed blocked shots that add another layer to her impact.

Macy is, and will always be, a competitor. Having watched her at both the high school level and now on the AAU circuit, that mindset consistently shows up every time she steps on the floor.
She plays with great effort and toughness, impacting the game in multiple ways. Offensively, she does a strong job of getting two feet in the paint, putting pressure on the defense and creating opportunities for herself and her teammates. Defensively, her ability to guard full court adds another layer to her impact, as she brings energy and intensity that can disrupt opposing guards.
Macy’s competitive nature and two-way presence make her a player that’s simply enjoyable to watch and a key contributor to IBC’s success.

Macy has been a standout player for North Central, consistently impacting the game in multiple ways. Whether it’s her ability to attack the rim and finish through contact or her competitiveness on the defensive end, she finds ways to get key stops and make winning plays for her team. Her toughness and motor set the tone, especially in high-pressure moments.
I’ve always enjoyed watching Macy play, whether with her AAU program or at the high school level, because her effort and approach never change. She plays with confidence, poise, and a strong understanding of what her team needs in the moment. That presence alone gives her teammates belief and stability on the floor.
Macy’s leadership and competitive edge are invaluable to North Central. She brings an element of reliability and toughness that doesn’t always show up in the box score but is felt throughout the game. Players like her are often the difference in close contests, and she continues to be a major reason for North Central’s success.

is a taller, stronger guard who stood out with her physical style of play and ability to impact both ends of the floor. On the perimeter, she used her strength and size to her advantage, powering past defenders and creating separation to make plays. Once she got into the paint, Macy’s physicality really showed—she finished through contact and proved she could score over both guards and forwards, giving her a versatile inside-out presence. Defensively, Macy’s length gave her an edge against opposing guards during the 5-on-5 session. She used her reach to disrupt passing lanes, come up with steals, and turn defense into offense by finishing on the other end. Her activity, combined with her physical tools, made her a tough matchup throughout the day. As she heads into her junior season under a new head coach, Macy looks primed for a fresh start. With her strength, size, and defensive versatility, she should be a key piece in the rotation. The addition of

Macy is a little different style of player from her teammate above. She has nice size, a solid to strong, athletic frame, and she also moves well around the floor. But Macy is difficult to define by position because she is so versatile. When she has her feet set and finds rhythm, she is a very capable shooter. At the same time, she likes to be a playmaker off the bounce, find open teammates, plus score it inside herself. She can defend multiple positions as well, and she is an effective rebounder as a perimeter player.

Macy flashed a great deal of potential last June at the IBCA team showcase as an incoming Freshman. She had her moments in 2023-2024, averaging 2.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, but with some added strength, another year of experience, plus the graduation of some key 2024s, Macy could/should step into a key role as a Sophomore. She has an athletically strong frame, she’s a fluid athlete, and she can handle & create, knock down open shots, or score the ball equally well in the midrange game.

I had seen Macy a few times briefly in the past, so it was a great opportunity to watch her at length Monday. She has a strong, wiry, athletic frame. She has really worked on her handle and could be considered a point forward in that regard. She has touch from the perimeter, she’s able to put it on the floor and attack the basket North/South, and she’s strong enough now she’s finishing through contact much more consistently. As she improves her urgency defensively, her well-roundedness should be attractive to college programs.
