Depending on what program you are in and the path of your individual journey, you might not play a ton of varsity as a freshman and that is perfectly ok. Someone that is doing a great job of playing the minutes they are given at the JV/Reserve level is

of Westview High School. Sawyer is only out of the 2028 Class and she competes at the PF position. Sawyer is a beast. She understands to play physical ball under-near the hoop, she knows footwork, she knows what moves work in what situations, and she works really hard defensively to hold her own in every moment of the contest. Over-time this is a player that could turn into a solid CG or even SF, depending on what skills she works on. It’s really up to how determined she is and what he goals might be looking into this Spring.

Another player that I would consider an undersized Combo Forward is

. Sawyer is someone else that thrives on the court because of her high motor. She understands near the basket where the ball is going to land on missed shots, she moves relentlessly, and she isn’t afraid to mix it up with anyone that might be bigger than her. Sawyer will compete with Westview out of Omaha for her high school career. If she keeps on expanding her game out, as she stays consistent near the bucket, she will be averaging more than 10 PPG before you know it.

is someone else that is going to have the chance to step up and make a difference her Freshman season at Westview High School these next few months when taking everything into consideration. Sawyer may only be 5’7 but she has a strong and determined play-style. She isn’t afraid to mix it up with anyone that may be bigger than her on either side of the floor and she is usually the first one to bump someone or to compete with a high level of physicality throughout a contest. If she comes into high school with some confidence, I’m sure she is going to have a really nice Freshman year as a whole, no matter what level she is competing at.
