If I had an All-Madison team, Accuardi would be the anchor in the middle, deadly around the hoop and a certified rim protector. Last season the 6-1 Accuardi averaged 14.5 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.4 spg, 2.7 bpg and will have the Norskies in the hunt in the Badger-Large this season.

I’ve liked the progress that Accuardi has made in her three years at DeForest. The Norski is a skilled finisher around the basket and is a better perimeter shooter than what meets the eye. She has the range to be a productive interior defender and has been a reliable interior player everywhere she’s played thus far. Her best basketball is ahead of her, and regional programs could use her at the next level.

The rangey 6-1 forward has played within her role at DeForest under a well-regarded coach who has gotten the best out of her with the talent in the program. I think she has gotten better in the post and played stronger around the basket as she’s matured as a player. Her length, ability to space the floor, and the defensive potential she has will be something worth seeing in Appleton this week.

The DeForest forward was part of a Norski team that got better over the year and even won a Regional Title. Over her first and second seasons, Accuardi became more fundamentally sound. She was a kid who became indispensable for DeForest. Her length is something coaches will love, and she’s a fluid athlete who can move her feet. There are plenty of tools to work with in her game, and she’s a 2027 playing 17U this summer. Accuardi will make plays on the ball around the basket that will catch some coaches’ eyes because her length and athleticism will jump out at you.

Alexis Accuardi Alexis Accuardi 6'0" | PF DeForest | 2027 State WI is a seriously impressive sophomore. She dominates the middle and low blocks by reading the defense, finding open spaces, and moving off-the -ball when her teammates drive toward the basket. She has a nice shot and she is consistent and reliable from mid-range. She also has excellent hands, can catch the ball in traffic, and is incredibly patient when handling the ball. Accuardi has good court vision and delivers precise passes from the high post. Standing at 6’1″, she has active feet and moves quickly on defense which causes issues for opponents, especially with her long wingspan. She is active on both ends of the floor and it shows in her stats. Accuardi averages 10.1 points per game with an impressive field goal shooting percentage of 55%, along with 7.6 rebounds for DeForest.

I hadn’t seen the DeForest product in over a year before the Badger Challenge and was impressed by what she did. I thought she did well at earning prime real estate under the basket and showed good hands by catching the ball in traffic multiple times. Depending on the situation, she also showed she would pass out of the post, which led to open perimeter looks. She has tools to build on.
