Over the weekend, I'll highlight a few players who've stood out thus far in the AAU season. I'll leave the 2027s out of this conversation because we'll highlight them most of next week. Let's discuss some standouts we haven't highlighted over the past few weeks.

I first saw Warren at a Hamilton game this past high school season, and she was solid. Over the summer, she's shown some quality and has been a reliable player with the ball in her hands. Warren isn't someone who'll turn the ball over too much, so coaches will trust her to initiate the team's offense. There's room to improve with her scoring and becoming a more consistent threat, but small schools looking for guard help in 2026 will eventually sit and watch her play.

[player_tooltip player_id='842260' first='Jordyn' last='Jaglinski']

The jump shot that Jaglinski boasts is far from what's taught. However, it works for her and makes shots at a high clip. She shot around 50% at Assumption this past season and routinely knocks down open looks for her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] group. The last time I watched her, I was sitting with a college coach asking about everyone on her team, and I told them that her jumper isn't as aesthetically pleasing but makes her open shots, and sure enough, she got an open look from the corner a possession or two later and knocked it down. There's something there, but I'm unsure what it is yet. However, the spot-shooting is there.

[player_tooltip player_id='842218' first='Julieyn' last='Martin']

The Hortonville wing broke out in the Polar Bears' home win over Neenah in front of a crowd packed into the stands like sardines. That night, she made three threes, scored 15 points, drew a couple of charges, and was a massive reason the Polar Bears won the FVA outright that night. Since then, she's continued to show flashes of being an intriguing 3&D guard/wing at the next level. Her [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] group is a talented bunch. Everyone had been figuring out their roles and how to make the pieces work. They'll continue to improve over the summer, and Martin will flourish as an off-ball guard and defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='329546' first='Payton' last='Beck']

The Sun Prairie native has always been a shooter, and nothing's changed there. Her percentages slipped at Sun Prairie West because of the increased usage, but that's ok. Even when her shots aren't falling as much as she'd like, she is forcing defenses to close out aggressively, and that gravity she creates opens up the floor for her teammates to attack space. Small schools that need a spot-up shooter in 2025 should give her a look. I've liked her when I've watched her with [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] this summer.
