June 14th-15th I attended the annual Section-7 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. I watched as many Arizona teams as I could over the two days, as there were around 40 teams who represented the prestigious event.

Here were some of the top stock risers I watched in the senior class

[player_tooltip player_id='623903' first='Makayla' last='Carter'] Saguaro (Pictured)

A fluid power forward is a rebounder chaser with her size and length and strong two-hands. She also blocks everything in her area and moves well in space. She runs the court and gets to the basket. She is a quick second jumper to crash the glass and score on put backs. She will pull-up from mid-range and can hesitate and dribble by with either hand. Multiple D1 coaches noticed the quickly improving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='607478' first='Lucy' last='Fisher'] Mesquite

A bigger wing forward is an inside and outside threat. She shoots the three off the catch, she can dribble drive to the basket and cuts when she should. She handles the ball on the break and can bring it up and make a play. Stock is way up.

[player_tooltip player_id='509044' first='Saniya' last='Jones'] Desert Vista

A long wing defensive scorer. She can rattle in threes off the catch and has great length to play the passing lanes. She moves her feet well and will rebound plus is very fluid. She projects out as a 3 and D type.

[player_tooltip player_id='582391' first='Aila' last='Kaibara'] Phoenix Country Day

A highly skilled scoring point guard can catch and shoot from the three point line. Her shooting stroke is looking better and better. She has perfect rotation and it looks good every attempt. She will ball fake and use the floater game and can make difficult layups in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='558926' first='Jaeda' last='Brown'] Saguaro

A tough two-way scoring point guard is a natural slasher in traffic. She is a downhill gem with a physical approach to the game and has some shift with her handle. She changes speeds well and will then burst into the lane thru contact. She can also step back or hit the catch three in rhythm. She will throw open teammates and drive and kick it to a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='599374' first='Savannah' last='Helms'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A pure point guard who makes good reads with her passing and decision making. She is quickly improving as a three point shooter off the catch. She hesitates well to get the defense off of her, uses the floater and will pull-up and hit from mid-range.
