8 of the most elite shooters on the East side of the state

All these players are elite three point shooters. All of them are also good players in most aspects of the game. Here's a look at some big time shooters and scorers on the East side of the mountains.    Averaged 13.2 points per game as the league's leader in threes. She finished last season with 76 made. She led the league her sophomore year hitting 41.6% of her long distance shots, making 69 of them. She has great range and a beautiful touch from three. She showed willingness to run the floor and rebound, using the athletic ability and length. She gets her shots off quick and with a lot of confidence.     Izzy isn't just a shooter, she is an all around talented player who does a lot of things for her team. She recorded double doubles on several occasions, even flirting with a triple double a time or two. She is quick to anticipate on defense, and has great speed in the open floor once she gets it. A lot of times she starts the break herself with her willingness to rebound. All that said, she is also an elite shooter, shoots it from as deep as I've seen from most any player. She has a quick release and great shot mechanics. She scored 40 points once and 41 in another game. She broke her own mom's school record for single game scoring with the 40 point effort. She ended up averaging just over 18 points last season. She also shot 86% from the free throw line.     A knock down shooter with great mechanics, she doesn't leave much room for error. She is money if she gets a clean look. She also is great at shot fakes and getting to the basket on the drive. She is quick to the hoop and loves to go left. She is skilled at making shots around the basket that are tough for players her size. She is a scorer and a lethal one from long distance.     Aylah was outstanding in her freshman season. She averaged 20 points per game and got those on all levels. She is an elite shooter with big time range. She hit 8 threes in one game showing her range, hitting them from way back effortlessly. She has skills that you don't see often from a player that young. She was one of the best guards in the state at any level, any class.     Adriana is a lightning quick guard who plays with no fear, especially on the defensive end. She is a ball hawk and gets lots of steals with her anticipation and quickness. She is a very good shooter and the range extends well beyond the three point line. She can use the dribble to re-locate and get open looks, or even step back threes. She will also get to the basket if the defense is overplaying her. She has lots of speed and is a pesky one on defense. She also will use the drive and kick to open teammates and make the simple entry pass to the post.     Mackenzie is talented in many aspects of the game. She is all over the floor, plays tough defense, and has the ability to score on all levels. Her three point shooting is pure wifh great ability to catch and shoot in a hurry. She will shoot it from well beyond the line as well. She is able to score using the mid-range and gets to the basket with decent speed and quickness. She also has decent length to help with the shot selection. A really good player who might be under the radar but probably not on the Eastern side of the mountains.     A highly efficient shooter from deep. She made 63 at 45%. She doesn't need to be a big scorer with all the talent Chiawana has, but the opportunistic threes are a perfect fit for the offense. She doesn't take a whole lot of other shots but she takes care of the ball and plays her role as a knock down three point shooter.     Addison is a smooth player with good length on the perimeter. She is effective with catch and shoot threes, can shoot it off the dribble, and has deep range. She looks smooth around the basket with her ability to finish, some of that comes from the length, more comes from being a skilled player in all phases of the game. She is a smart team defensive player which results in jumping passing lanes and getting the break started with the pressure defense Mead likes to play. Skill, length, versatility, great pedigree. She has all those things. She definitely excels as a great shooter from three. She was 2nd on the team in scoring last season at 12 a game. No Teryn Gardner next season, so Morrison will likely be the number one scoring option, although they still have a few. Mead is still a young team, one that lost to Garfield in the state 3A title game last season. They'll be back in the mix in the 2025 season.
