The Maryland Basketball Coaches Association put together their first NCAA live period event for girls in the state of Maryland on June 15th. One of the games featured Wise from PG County and Howard High from Howard County. Here is a look at some of the top players in this match-up.

[player_tooltip player_id='931058' first='Ayana' last='Hamilton'], Wise, 2025, Point Guard

Ayana was a match up problem all day for Howard. She pushed the ball up the court and attacked the basket which put a lot of pressure on Howard's defense. She drew a bunch of fouls and got to the line when she wasn't finishing in the paint. She has a good handle, a quick first step and the upper body strength to finish through contact. She scored 16 points on layups and free throws. She also dished out some assists to her teammates when Howard forced the ball out of her hands. She is a prospect to keep an eye on.

Ayanna Quinterro, Wise, 2027, Guard

Ayanna is on the small side at 5'0", but she can ball. She showed off her range from the 3-point line, got to the basket and did some work in the mid-range area. She's very fast, can really get off the floor, and she can finish with both hands, so she's a tough cover. She finished with 11 points and 3 assists.

Paris Stewart, Wise, 2026, Forward

Paris is a six-footer that could fill a three and defense role at the next level. She rebounded, played solid defense in the paint and showed the ability to defend on the perimeter in pick and roll situations. She made three out of her five 3-point attempts.

Abbey Ward, Howard, 2025, Center

Abbey had a tough day shooting the ball from the field and from the line, but she was still impactful. She was a constant presence on the boards and drew a bunch of fouls because at 6'1" she is a handful in the paint. She finished with 7 points and 10 rebounds.

RIley Watson, Howard, 2025, Guard

Riley finished with 10 points on the day. She's athletic wing/guard that can defend and she brings versatility on offense. She's an aggressive scorer but can also bring the ball up the court to initiate the offense.
