Curtis is a player who can start and sustain runs with her high-energy play. She’s aggressive in passing lanes, shows great reactions and burst to get to long passes, and gets the pace going in transition. She also reads her defender really well while off the ball which results in lots of give-and-go’s as well as her getting the ball in lots of space to attack.
Sheridan is a balanced attacker with a smooth game to the rim. She can go either way, has good moves on the perimeter to create separation and mixes up her pickups in traffic to get past that second defender. She put up a lot of points last season, getting to the hoop and taking advantage of space outside to drop in 3s. She’s a player who plays fast with the ball but shows great body control and should have another big season in her sophomore year.
Highlights
She’s a long guard with a good reach and hands to disrupt ballhandlers and get deflections. She has quick feet, staying with ballhandlers on the perimeter and showing good footwork to split defenders with the ball. She has good change of pace and shows the vision to attack gaps and apply pressure on the interior defense.
Highlights
Garcia plays with phenomenal poise, making great reads with the ball and playing unselfishly to advance the ball and get her team playing quick in transition. She has all the playmaking skills to be a true point guard but she can also score the rock from various spots and is just one of a few talented 2027s at Davis who should have them near the top of the 4A for years to come.
Highlights
Johnson shows a promising balance of scoring and playmaking. She can attack from different spots, scores pretty well from each level, and has an eye for making plays on the defensive end. She has good instincts and reactions, racks up steals, and forces a lot of eyes on her when she has the ball.
Highlights
Wollum is a long guard who plays fast, gets downhill with long strides and can really cause havoc at the rim. She creates a ton of action off the dribble and looks to attack her defender to create opportunities and occupy multiple defenders. She’s also an aggressive defender who plays up in passing lanes, is quick to step up on the perimeter and get into ballhandlers, and can create turnovers to get going the other way.
Hansen’s a quick, aggressive point guard who spots gaps, attacks them hard, and keeps her eyes up to find open teammates. She has a great feel for finding creative passing angles and shows the presence to identify space and pull up for short runners and jumpers. She’s an exciting player who makes plays on both ends and will play a big role for the Trojans this winter.
