Mollie Schnormeier Mollie Schnormeier 5'9" | SG Gilbert | 2025 IA is another player for Gilbert that has helped them so far this season on the Varsity floor. Schnormeier produced for the Tigers last night with 12 points and 4 rebounds. This was one of those showings for Schnormeier that I’m sure she wishes she could forget from an efficiency standpoint but I think it’s more of a fluke than anything else. Sometimes we don’t have shots fall but if you are a SG, your job is primarily to shoot so you can’t over think it. Just have confidence in your ability, trust in your coaches/teammates, and put in the proper work. If you have and do those three things, it usually breeds success and that’s been the case for most of the season for Schnormeier.

I liked watching Mollie Schnormeier Mollie Schnormeier 5'9" | SG Gilbert | 2025 IA more and more as the game went on – she just kept getting better. Schnormeier has a very quick trigger, one of the quickest I’ve seen in a while, and knocked down two three pointers on Friday. She runs the floor well in too and looked very comfortable finishing coast to coast in transition. Additionally she has great touch on her passes. Late in the game when Gilbert needed a bucket, Mollie looped a pass perfectly over the defense to a rolling teammate for two. She finished the night with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal, and in my opinion provided the juice Gilbert needed late-game to keep it close until the final buzzer.

Gilbert is another program with a very good Point Guard in Callie Hales Callie Hales 5'10" | PG Gilbert | 2027 State IA but that won’t be their only noteworthy prospect. They will also bring Mollie Schnormeier Mollie Schnormeier 5'9" | SG Gilbert | 2025 IA to the floor, who is a Shooting Guard with a better than average mixture of shooting ability and length. Schnormeier might be new to this Update but she is not new to the Varsity floor. She is going to have the same job from a year ago and that is being efficient on offensive, while defending like her life depends on it. Up until this point, she has shown that she can do a good job of both of these things so if that’s the case once again, they could make a run once the season tips off in a few months.
