Hales is a prospect that has grown on us over the years because of her steady improvement. She has always been equipped with impressive hand-eye coordination and a calculated demeanor but now she is really coming into her own as someone who can control the outcome of a contest when the rock is in her possession. Right now Gilbert High School asked a lot out of Hales as a top notch scorer, passer, defender, rebounder, and teammate. At the next level it’ll become a lot more simple when her main duties will be to control the game’s tempo and make everyone else around her better as a distributor. This is a big AAU season ahead for everyone in this Class. If prospects like Hales can do well on the road while leading their pack, who knows what interest might come in before the Summer starts.

30, 5, & 3. Gilbert High School might not have won against Xavier on Saturday night but that didn’t stop

from proving her worth. Hales ended things with 30 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, and a few other positive statistics in her efforts. As a whole, her team only put up 50 against a tough defensive Xavier team so to score 30 is noteworthy. Hales didn’t even have the best game herself from the field but what she did do was that she demonstrated that belongs with the other college levels prospects that were competing around her. All in all, Hales put together a good season as a whole this year when it comes to the individual numbers and I’m sure she is excited to move into AAU season on the road for her last go-around with her Pure Prep program.

has solidified herself as one of the best overall PG in this 2027 Class in Iowa the past six months. Hales is PG #1 in a lot of regards. She understands the game from a strategic standpoint and she knows how to maximize her capabilities on the floor at all times better than most. She would be considered a pass-first PG but she can score it and get her own at a thorough rate if need be as well. One of the best part of Hales play-style is her fundamentals. This is a prospect that always seems to play off of two feet, knowing that a strong base and pivoting options can take you a long way when you might be undersized in a situation. I’m not sure where Hales will end up but I know that there are a few D2 schools in the running for her commitment so we will just have to see how it plays out.

has been the leading force so far this season that we have all seen glimpses of in the past. Hales, the crafty 5’9 PG, has been doing it all for Gilbert. She is scoring at consistent rates, she is creating and facilitating for those teammates around her, she is getting her hands on several tips/deflections, she is out-smarting every opponent standing in her way, and she is playing with a lot of overall tenacity. I would consider Hales as an underrated prospect. She doesn’t get the credit she deserves at times. The is a hooper that the Head Coach can give the ball too and they can trust in her decision making. They won’t have to worry about her turning it over or making poor decisions when it matters the most. That is something noteworthy that Hales should hang her hat on. Her smarts will take her a long way in the future as long as she keeps working.

falls as the #2 PG that this conference has to offer moving into this Winter. Hales has a balanced mixture of handle, aggressive demeanor, athletic ability, and knowledge as a PG of when to do what. She is pretty crafty, always playing off of two feet when she gets into the middle of the defense and she is always willing to find the opponent teammates for an assist in one way or another. Defensively, she gets her hands on several tips/deflections because of her natural ability to jump to the ball and figure out her opponent’s tendencies. All in all, Hales will be a solid college athlete at the end of the day, where-ever she ends up.

has been very good the past eight months on the road and she is looking to build off of that momentum this Upcoming Winter at Gilbert High School. When Hales limits her turnovers, she is very good as a leader at the PG position. She does everything that is asked of her in the terms of controlling pace of play, getting everyone around her orchestrated in their spots, and running her team’s systems on both sides of the ball. She plays with an aggressive edge and she isn’t afraid to use her physicality to get where she wants to go when someone else is happening to pressure her. All in all, Hales is a Dawg and I can’t wait to see what she does for her Junior campaign.

is going to make it to the collegiate level and produce at a pretty thorough rate before you know it as a Point Guard. Hales checks off a lot of boxes. Strong, physical, skilled, coordinated, and smart. She understands in-game situations and that helps her thrive in meaningful moments. This past few months Hales has grabbed a few offers from the D2 and D3 levels across the Midwest. Most notably D2 – Upper Iowa and D2 – Wayne State. With two more years of varsity ball still left to play, this is all very promising. Hales is only going to get better with more experience and we will see that first hand over the next two seasons.

marked down as a future collegiate athlete. Where to? That part isn’t clear just yet but with her ability to lead a group at the PG spot, she could fit in a few places. Hales would be described as a PG who leads by example off the dribble. She can use her dribble to get her own but in reality, she knows how to set up the team’s offense, how to control pace off the dribble, and everything in between. She plays with an aggressive edge on both sides as she is a high end competitor. She wants to win and she doesn’t care how it happens. When you combined all of that stuff together, you can get an impressive prospect. Hales is on that pace

has brought to the floor at the PG position. You can tell that Hales is very dedicated to the sport whenever she is lacing up her kicks. In this specific showing she led her team in assists with a positive assists-turnover ration. There is still a long ways to go for Hales to unlock her full potential but she has been doing a good job of making the days count lately, while working hard on her weaknesses. If she can stay on that trend, it’s going to be interesting to see where she ultimately ends up at the next level.

of Gilbert High School compete at our PGH Showcase last Fall. During this event, Hales showed off that she can be a thorough leader while other talented prospects are on the floor around her. Since then, she has seemingly gotten better over time and that trend should continue into her Sophomore season. Hales is an agile PG, that can get her own at any offensive level, while being scrappy defensively. You can tell that over-time, she has put in a lot of work on her craft and that this game really mean’s the world to her. That’s something that coaches can’t teach, so I’m sure it is eye-opening to a certain extent to collegiate recruiters as they have been around to watch her compete in some capacity. Expect a major season incoming for Hales. She is the #2 rated PG out of her Class for good reason and she is about to show everyone throughout the State why that is.
