Haley is another of the more underrated players in the state, but that will change with the new rankings update this Fall. She has been one of the biggest stock risers in the 2028 class this Summer with her play during travel ball (Redline) and high school ball with Buford. One D2 head coach who has seen this team play often remarked to me one of the first two games that “she never misses open threes”. I quickly replied “I know”. That trend held true as Haley shot the ball very well from three with only 1-2 open misses from deep over the course of 5-6 games. Ryczek is not just a shooter however as she proved over the weekend in Greensboro. The very scrappy guard was able to turn defense into offense as well creating steals and tipping several passes that led to layups on the other end from her and her teammates. Like Ledford, she distributed the ball very well, she executed kick ahead passes to her teammates in transition as well allowing them to score uncontested layups, but kept the defense honest by putting the ball in the basket.. With two years left to prove it, I believe that she has the potential to receive multiple opportunities to play on the next level and be a contributor at the right program for multiple years.

Haley is another player I had seen a few times before and knew going on into Peach Games that she can really shoot the ball from deep. She did that once again, but also did the same things in addition to shooting that had me thinking very highly of her previously- play with an extremely high motor, leave it all on the court, and compete hard with a big smile on her face. It’s refreshing to see a kid seemingly not care at all about playing high level eau basketball. In the games I watched Haley was total menace defensively in the Redline press sprinting from player to player trapping in the backcourt causing steals and deflections for her team. She is sneaky quick and you can see it when she pushed the ball out with the dribble initiating the fast break as well as sprinting the lanes in transition looking for and getting easy opportunistic layups from sheer hustle. She is a very skilled player and I expect her role to increase dramatically for coach Gene Durden and the Lady Wolves of Buford in her sophomore season.

Rycek was huge for Redline in the Final Four win over Southeast United Elite. In a very close game throughout, Haley steeped up and made multiple timely threes to help her team win the game and advance to the championship where they would beat Explosive Elite. Haley played hard on both ends of the floor and made several contributions in other areas. She is a good ball handler and passer and played very good defense. It was her shot-making that was the difference in that game and if it were not for those huge threes she made, her team would have in all likelihood lost the game. She is a very good athlete, quick with very good lateral movement and competed hard while she was on the court. I look forward to seeing her play again.

Hustler is willing to do the dirty work on defense. Doesn’t need to score much to impact games. Uses her energy to win 50/50 balls. Can knockdown the outside shot and is good cutter away from the ball.

Possess a quick first step allows her to get past opponents at ease. She pushes the ball out in transition and sees floor well. She is a pesky defender that does not give up on the ball.
