These freshmen are ready for their much anticipated high school debut this winter and if some of their last names sound familiar, it's because they have talented sisters who will share the spotlight with them when the season begins!

[player_tooltip player_id='913941' first='Malaya' last='Jones'] | Oak Knoll

Like big sister [player_tooltip player_id='338820' first='Milan' last='Jones'], Malaya has a very versatile game and is able to alternate between the guard and forward positions. She played up on the Raptors' 15U E40 squad and exhibited excellence on both sides of the ball, holding her own against much bigger and more experienced players. With a mixture of veteran seniors and underclassmen, Oak Knoll will look to turn things around from last season (7-20 record) and make another push toward the playoffs. They lost a close on in the quarters of North Jersey, Non-Public A and have all the tools to go one step further in 2025, with Milan and Malaya leading the charge.

[player_tooltip player_id='982755' first='Logan' last='Teevan'] | Holmdel

With a 3-point shot that can devastate opponents, similar to that of big sister and Holy Cross commit [player_tooltip player_id='414237' first='Mackenzie' last='Teevan'], Logan is ready to take the varsity stage and make waves in her debut. She gave a preview of things to come back in March during halftime of the Rutgers v. Northwestern game where the Shoreshots scrimmaged NJ Thunder and was fantastic at The Fort last month. Holmdel brings back a lot of talent and will look to make another run to the playoffs and hope to go one step further than last season (quarterfinal loss to RFH).

[player_tooltip player_id='982722' first='Brook' last='Sofilkanich'] | St. John Vianney

At nearly 6'0" tall, Brook is quickly reaching older sister [player_tooltip player_id='559037' first='Taylor' last='Sofilkanich'] in height. In a household filled with athletic genes and elite D1 talent, we can expect great things to come from her. Both run with the Gemz in the summer and both will play together at perennial power SJV this winter, where they look to claim Non-Public A glory once again. On a team with already so much size, Brook will add even more to a skyscraper lineup and look to make an impact from the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='913932' first='Elaina' last='Kraybill'] | Egg Harbor Township

With Lanie in the frontcourt and big sis Ava at the guard spot, expect lots of high-low action, post-entry feeds and post kick-outs between the two sisters. The connection will surely be special as they look to lead EHT to another successful season (23-5 and semifinals of South Jersey, Group 4). She impressed me way back in May at the AC Showcase with her ability to command the low post and also stretch the floor to knock down daggers from deep. The future is bright for Eagles with Lanie in it!

[player_tooltip player_id='913935' first='Abigail' last='Dwyer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='913936' first='Rian' last='Dwyer'] | Manasquan

These incoming freshmen sisters are ready to turn it up at Squan and put the entire Shore Conference on notice. The Big Blue Warriors are coming off one of their most successful seasons ever, posting a 26-5 record and a Group 2 State Championship. Losing standouts McKenna Karlson, Katie Collins, Hope Masonius and Carlie Lapinski, Squan looks to reload and gear up for another successful run at a sectional/state title. Enter the Dwyer sisters: speed, length, offense, defense and undeniable grit. They ran with NJ Rise on the AAU circuit and played in multiple camps and invitationals, including Rising Tide Basketball Co. and the Big 60 Event.

[player_tooltip player_id='982717' first='Emeryl' last='Azcona'] and [player_tooltip player_id='982716' first='Violet' last='Azcona'] | Westampton Tech

These two are viral sensations who burst on to the hoops scene at a very young age, turning heads and commanding attention. Emeryl and Violet are shifty, savvy guards with a game similar to that of fellow twin sister duo Mia and [player_tooltip player_id='333305' first='Mya' last='Pauldo']. Big time 3-point shooting, quickness in transition and commitment on both ends of the court. They have made a name for themselves before ever stepping foot inside a high school gym, something that will change in just a few months!
