Nelson (pictured above) is one of the most gifted players with the ball in her hands in the entire Class of 2028 – and with the talent in this group, that says a lot. Her ability to change directions and go between her legs is a sight to see, highlighted by a sequence where she put a defender on skates, dropped her to a knee, and calmly finished with a pull-up midrange jumper. She’s relentless attacking the basket. Her length allows her to finish over the top of defenders, and she’s slippery enough to squeeze through the tightest of spaces to get all the way to the rim. With Chaska’s recent history of producing high-level guards, Nelson looks poised to be the next in line.
