#6 – Poepard’s game has blossomed over the course of this year. She had a breakout performance at the state tournament, an excellent AAU season, and is now set to make her debut at Mahtomedi. Sarah has always possessed great length and athleticism, but now her confidence and offensive capabilities have skyrocketed. Poepard can score at every level on the floor and can play multiple positions, as well. She is also more than capable of guarding 1-4 at any given time. We’ve seen her rise to the occasion in many big moments, and it seems that Sarah’s game is just going to keep on growing.

Sarah is our RISING STAR OF THE DAY. If you’ve been following along all summer you are no doubt aware that the Minnesota Fury freshman is a special talent who is bound to land near the north end of the list in the Freshman 50. She was everywhere on Sunday, running the point for the Zephyrs and making plays on every possession. Driving to the basket, Sarah has so many tools in her tool box with a variety of moves and finishes that make you say, ‘Wow!’ on a regular basis. Her length is impressive. Her feel for the game even more so. Sarah is a Division 1 prospect all day long and on Sunday she showed why.
