+20 – Since entering the class of 2028 rankings back in February, Danks has made some impressive strides in her game. The 5’10 guard ended her sophomore campaign by breaking Pipestone’s single season steals record, earning a Big South All Conference honorable mention, and then went on to dominate the floor for Sanford 16U Grey in the AAU season. Attacking each possession with zero hesitation, we’ve seen Josie grow in terms of her assertiveness as a scorer, but also in her overall skill level. She can score in a variety of ways, isn’t afraid to play physical, and is always a factor on the defensive end. Danks moves up 20 spots this time around, officially entering the top 100 for the first time.

Following a dominant summer with Sanford 16U Grey, Danks came into The Expo looking to make her mark. Long, athletic, and light on her feet, the 5’10 guard stood out early during the 3-on-3 competition. Josie spaced the floor consistently, made quick, explosive cuts to the rim, and showcased a smooth, high-arcing release on her three-point shot. Later, during 5-on-5 play, she continued to impress with aggressive downhill drives to the basket and her willingness to embrace physicality on the defensive end. In her sophomore season at Pipestone, Danks averaged 6.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4.4 steals per game for the Arrows. This season we suspect she’ll be able to take things up another notch.

Danks continues to validate her place among Minnesota’s rising prospects. The 5-foot-10 Pipestone guard serves as the centerpiece of Sanford’s 16U Grey squad, bringing size, athleticism, and confidence every time she takes the floor. She attacks without hesitation, embraces physical play, and consistently looks to make something happen with the basketball in her hands. Her combination of length, skill, and assertiveness allows her to impact games in a variety of ways, whether pushing the pace, attacking the rim, or making hustle plays defensively. Danks’ steady improvement remains evident, and her upside continues to make her one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the region

Danks brings size, energy and a relentless attitude to the floor. At 5’10 she has the length to impact the game on both ends, running the floor well and attacking the glass with determination. Defensively she thrives on hustle plays, diving for loose balls and battling for steals and rebounds. Offensively she continues to expand her game, driving with more confidence and making good decisions with the basketball. Danks is known for her positive attitude and work ethic. We love it when a player can smile in the heat of battle like Josie can. Her commitment to continuous  improvement makes her an exciting long-term prospect.

At 5-foot-9, Danks has the size and length to be an impactful player on both ends of the floor. She’s strong with the ball and does a solid job of attacking the glass. She also runs the floor well, giving her the physical tools needed to be an impact player moving forward as her skill grows to match.
