Josie is another small guard who makes a big impact. She entered the season having already played plenty of varsity basketball on a rebuilding Becker squad. This year her role increased and her game matured. She finished third in scoring (6.4 ppg) along with 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists, which led the team. Reckelberg is a pass-first guard who loves to push pace and move the ball. She never seems to over-handle it and has a good feel for where the ball needs to go and when. Josie is unlikely to be a big star; she’s very likely to be a fine college basketball player.

The diminutive Reckelberg out of Becker is a pass-first guard who looks to push pace and keep the ball moving. The Showcase was no different. Reckelberg doesn’t over dribble and put the ball right where it needed to be for her teammates to be able to make things happen. She also did a good job of rebounding her position and nothing is better than a point guard grabbing a board with the ability to push it up the court for easy buckets. Several times she was the recipient of said pass and attacked the basket leading to lay-ups and trips to the charity stripe. Becker has been very good at churning out high-level guards and Reckelberg has already started earning good varsity minutes.
