USE CODE "tinnon30" FOR 30% OFF THE FIRST PURCHASE OF ANY SUBSCRIPTION

Sometimes when you are in your freshman year, you come in with your eyes wide open. You might be in a new school environment, new building, around new friends, new teammates, and coaches. At times, it takes a minute or two for you to get acclimated to all the newness . Which is perfectly fine as long as you continue to grow and get better by the day.

As the 27s gear up for year 2 some young ladies have put their time in and are now on deck to help lead their ball club. They may have seen some minutes or played significant minutes the previous year, however this year they will be asked by their coaches to do more. Score more, rebound more, become a leader. They will be put into big time situations where they have to learn how to become clutch. A lot of programs have benefitted for girls who are vets and this 2027 class(some of them) have been allowed to learn and take their time to get acclimated to the high school game. That statement doesn't go for everyone, but now that it's a new year, these girls will be asked to do more.

Here at PGH Tennessee we have uncovered some young ladies who will be stepping up into significant roles for their schools. They will be asked to come in starting in November and play major roles as their teams look to take the next steps towards accomplishing bigger goals. These girls are ready without a doubt because they have already tasted what high school basketball is like. When practice tips off, these girls will have a better understanding of what will be asked of them. Now that they're roles have increased, look for them to become big time factors as their clubs look to take their next steps towards greatness.

Here are some 2027s who will be difference makers for their ball clubs this upcoming season.

Speedy and versatile guard who can put the ball in the basket. She can do it from deep or get down hill and finish at the rim. This kid plays with a motor and it is evident on both ends of the floor. She creates chaos that leads to easy buckets on the defensive end. She goes hard and opponents feel her presence as she locks them up. This upcoming season, I expect her to step into an increased role for her ball club. Not only will she be asked to help facilitate the offensive, but lead the squad in other aspects of the game. Scoring, defense, bringing the energy. This kid is on an upwards trend and she is poised and ready for a breakout year.

A kid who can step out on the perimeter, but finish down low in the painted area. Brooke goes hard on both ends of the floor. Possession by possession, she gives an all out effort, maximizing her potential and doing whatever she can to win that moment for her club. She's a gamer and establishes her presence by contributing in multiple statistical categories. Look at the stat line and she has marks in every category there is. A solid two way player who will continue to grow. As she gains even more confidence and adds to her tool belt, look for her to become someone who is hard to handle. A solid kid who is on an upwards trajectory.

Super tough kid who plays lights out. Speedy and versatile, she is a solid two-way player who is always in go mode. She is active on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she can score it from multiple spots. Defensively, she gets steals and contributes in so many other different ways. Solid kid who continues to get better every time she steps onto the floor.

A quiet assassin and once it clicks, she is going to be tough to deal with. She's getting her footing and once she gains that confidence, it's all she wrote. A solid 3 level scoring threat, if she puts the ball on the floor, she's bulldogging her way to the rim. Shifty, she can fit through gaps and finish at the rim against contact. Long and rangy, she gets steals and deflections on the defensive end. Contributes on the boards as well. The more she gets comfortable in what she does, this kid is going to be nice when it's all said and done. It's in her DNA. Solid prospect who is about to breakthrough.

A kid who is coming into her own, she has been battle tested both in the high school ranks and on the travel ball circuit. A versatile kid who can score the ball, but her value is on the defensive end. She has active hands and feet and slows down the opposition. She gets steals, block shots, contributes on the boards, hustles on every possession. She just goes hard and her team feeds off her energy. Offensively, she can score on the interior. Has a nice face up game that enables her to pull it from the mid-range or finish around the rim. This kid has some great mentors and will continue to get better.
