It’s hard to leave Maddox off a list like this. Prior to the start of the season, her positioning was deep in the back half of the rankings. The jump to becoming a top 25 player in the class just speaks to the type of year she’s had. Was Aaliyah just underrated in the past? That could very well be true, but the assertiveness shown as well as multiple dominant performances showed a player that’s improved tremendously. Maddox will be a feature name in ’28.
