About Aamori

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I bring energy, I'm vocal on offense & defense, and I love to get my teammates involved. I'm a leader, you'll see me clapping and motivating my team throughout. Defensively, I want to guard the best player. I want the ball in my hands, especially at crunch time! I love to see my teammates score off my passes and I'm confident in shooting with great range, even off a screen & driving if no shot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength. My faith is strong & I believe in the power of prayer. My 1st word was 'happy' - I'm genuinely happy & love to laugh and see others smile. I believe in hard work & preparing both mentally and physically. I rarely come off the court and the thought of being tired never crosses my mind during a game. My mind tells me never give up!!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm involved with Panthers for Christ and FCA. I help run several basketball camps for kids in my hometown during the summer. I received several academic awards including the A Honor Roll. I love helping others and being involved in my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I'm still developing, but I've always thought of myself as a leader on and off the court. I've always played up in age but felt confident leading the team. It's important to have good teammates with positive attitudes and no drama.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Feeling as if I didn't do enough for my team to win an important game. For example, last year we lost a playoff game by 5. Although I scored 27 points, I feel I could have done other things to help us win that game! More rebounds, steals, deflections, etc...

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that feels like home and has a safe campus. Also, a college where the coaches and team are close and like family.
