She has scored in the upper twenties in almost every game, including a 30 point, 17 rebound performance against McEachern. Bensman has very good size at five foot ten inches tall allowing her to get shots off over her defender and to be a very good rebounder. Bensman handles the ball very well and is an effective scorer in the free throw lane. She is also an excellent shooter who can stretch the defense. Bensman is a very well-rounded player who also plays very good defense and is an exceptional passer of the ball.

There is not much more to say about the reigning league MVP. Abbey is a habitual producer, an impact maker in every phase of the game. She has elite instincts and a wonderful scoring touch. Bensman identifies plays and reacts before the opposition can make a move. Bensman tallied 15 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a 40-36 win over Christian Heritage.

Habitual producer returns as the team’s leading scorer. Won Sandy’s Spiel Fall League MVP with 18.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 4 steals and 1 block per game.

In two games on Sunday, the frontrunner for League MVP compiled 34 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 11 steals.

Abbey’s march to a league MVP saw one of her best performances come in Week 5, dropping 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in a 41-39 win over Paulding County. Bensman now leads the league in scoring (19.8) and steals (2.8).

Abbey’s hunt for league MVP continued as she poured in 19 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks against Hiram. Bensman was in attack mode from the opening tip, getting downhill while drawing fouls. Abbey has an elite nose for the ball, quicker than all others to loose balls. Her defense this season has been impressive both in the post and on the perimeter.

Abbey leads the league in scoring, steals and blocks after Week 1, dropping in 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks in a 44-38 loss to New Manchester. Bensman got hot and rallied the Greyhounds back into the game.  Her high IQ and quickness to loose balls paired with her deft scoring touch makes Bensman one of the best players in the league. She drops in shots off the glass from all angles and catches opponents napping if they don’t put a body on her.
