About Abigail

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am very competitive and use my speed to my advantage. I try to set up my defender and drive. I am able to also react well to the secondary defense in order to get to the rim. I am not afraid of shooting beyond the arc either. My team is also very important to me, so making the EXTRA pass instead of forcing a bad shot is habitual.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a happy personality. I respect my opponents and their coaches. Even though I am may get frustrated with the refs, I do not respond to the refs. If I am talking with the refs, I am normally asking for clarity so I can be aware of what they are looking for. My dad always tells me to be Dory when it comes to the “noise” of the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been apart of student council for the past several years. I have also most recently received an INSPIRE award which reflects that I am a next-level learner. I am regularly listed on the highest level of Honor roll the middle school I attend which is Distinguished.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and better communication skills. Before I used to be timid like many however after pushing myself I have been able to be confident enough to speak out(in a constructive manner).

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had a broken bones and even a concussion over my small amount of time in competition. This challenged my love for sports and most of all basketball. I have always come back stronger and work harder. Most of all I come back smarter.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love a college with heart, devotion, and loyalty. Of course I want to get a good degree worth great value such as sports medicine, management, or even physical therapy. No one is perfect but I will work endlessly to uphold the level of integrity expected.
