Expert Analysis
Brandon Tinnon | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
One who plays with such confidence, she has added so much to her game since she came on the scene her freshman year. Built differently, she will find ways to score from inside the arc or along the 3-point line. She can take an opponent off the dribble or come down and just pull it from deep; her ability to find the bottom of the net is crazy good. One thing I do enjoy watching her do is be utilized in the screen game. The way she reads the defense from that action is tough, making it hard to contain her. She’s a kid whose stock is rising and a tough opponent to scout. Keep tabs on this young lady as she continues to be a force to be reckoned with.

A true prospect whose game continues to grow. This young lady is hard to stop once she gets going. Someone who can score from all 3, make plays off the dribble with the ball in her hands, spot up along the arc and scorch the net, and continue on the defensive end. Year by year, her game grows as she becomes a kid who elevates her style of play. She’s one you must keep up with, as she is going to get her breakthrough opportunity soon rather than later.

Talented young lady who can score the basketball. She is a shifty guard who can score on all 3 levels. When she has the ball in her hands, good things tend to happen. She can create for herself or be utilized in the screen game, knocking down shots from all over the floor. She has a great feel for the game and knows when to kick to open teammates as she drives into the painted area. She is solid on defense, slowing down the opposition and putting them in situations unfavorable to them. Recorded 19 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds per game this past season. Look for her to stack similar numbers next season.

stood out in her lone game at this year’s state tournament.
Nethrton for her Van Buren County High School team dropped a game-high 20 points, in a 41-40 loss against Greenfield High School in the first round. Within the 20 points, Nethrton had six of them come from distance, with her making two 3-pointers.
In the 1A class, Netherton has one of the most dynamic offensive games. She can create separation to help her get good shot attempts with her dribble moves. She is definitely a player to know going into the 2026-2027 season.

game starts with her three point shot but there are many layers to it.
At 5’9″ at the point guard position, Netherton has great speed and is shifty on the dribble as well. The combination of the two makes her a great inside scoring threat, and also allows her to constantly create space. With this created space, she has the capability of knocking down threes from anywhere on the floor and has a quick trigger to hit them when this space opens up. Netherton, also, when it comes to her three point shot, can score off of catch-and-shoot actions. Against Sale Creek High School last season, she showed her outside jumper off, knocking down six threes.
At the point guard position, Netherton is also a great passer, and overall great defender on the perimeter.

Just different. This kid has a little sauce to her game. She isn’t flamboyant or anything. Just an athletic kid who can handle the ball and make split-second decisions. She can utilize her quick first step to get into the paint, there, it could be a floater or a dump down or kick, either way, it’s the right play for the occasion. She’s tough defensively, not afraid to sit down and guard to create turnovers. She had a coming-out party all last year and was really on display during the state tournament round. Look for her to pick up right where she left off and become an even more household name that collegiate recruiters will be clamouring for.
