I’ve really enjoyed watching Adalyn the last couple of years, because she always plays with an athletic energy, and she flies around the floor making plays. At the same time, she looks so much stronger and more confident in herself, she’s absorbing contact better and getting to the rim more consistently, plus she is shooting it with greater consistency. I also think she’s a solid on-ball defender who can affect the game at that end of the floor.

Addy Gish is a very fundamentally sound player that loves to compete and does whatever it takes for her team to win. She played hard from start to finish and I like how she got on the floor for a loose ball, applied tight pressure on defense and always looked to get others involved on offense.

This was the first time I had seen Addy play, and walked away impressed with her overall game. She can get downhill and finish at the rim well.  Can play through contact. Distributes well on the move and is a good communicator. Plays hard, moves the ball and gives opportunities to her teammates. The word to describe her is selfless and her unselfishness with the ball is what makes any team she is on good. (featured photo above)

I could really list any of Henderson County’s players here because they spread out their scoring and share the ball very well. However, I feel that all starts at the point guard position, so I have to start out by mentioning their starting PG, Adalyn Gish Adalyn Gish 5'5" | CG/PG Henderson County | 2026 State KY . Gish is a true floor general. She plays very unselfish and is clearly very fundamentally sound. She can handle pressure and she distributes the ball very well in her team’s offense. Gish can score herself as well, but she is always looking to make plays for her teammates. Loved the way she saw the floor and made strong passes.

Our first player from the second region, Adalyn is a versatile guard who is equally comfortable playing on or off the ball and will be in line for a bigger role in her Sophomore season for the Lady Colonels.

Gish is another Henderson rising Sophomore who has used a strong AAU season to boost her stock this summer. Adalyn moves from 44th to 25th this update and has the potential to move up more as her career advances. Gish is a lot like Brooklyn Gibson Brooklyn Gibson 5'8" | SG Anderson County | 2026 State KY in the sense that she will need to be more comfortable shooting the 3 as her career moves forward.

The thing I really like about Gish’s game is that she doesn’t have to score to make a major impact on games. However, she can definitely put the ball in the basket, so that’s not to say she can’t score by any means. Gish is a true 2-way player. She brings a lot defensively. She reads the passing lanes really well and she goes after the ball without fear. Gish has good handles and some strong moves to get to the rim. While she can finish on her drives and knock down shots, she brings so much more to the game and that is really impressive from a 2026 player.
