I love kids who can defend and space the floor on the perimeter. Schoen has enough physicality to keep opposing ball handlers in front of her. In this past AAU season, she also showed an ability to defend up and guard some larger kids around the basket, which I never thought was in her arsenal beforehand. She’d done a solid job in Brookfield East’s 2-3 zone in the past, but she can defend a few positions on the floor, which will help her in the long run.
