works well off of the ball as a Shooting Guard. She is willing and able in the catch-and-shoot game from deep, as well as being someone that can put it on the floor at times to get into better space. From there, she can either pull up for a jumper, get to the bucket, or find others that might become open. Naughton hasn’t been the main producer for her Western Iowa Express
progress over the years but she has been noticeable and sometimes that is all it takes.
Naughton has been a solid prospect in the recruiting world for a couple seasons now and she is going to play a major role in her team’s success this Winter for her Junior season. Naughton is better than average at handling the basketball, she is a solid shooter off of the catch or dribble, she possesses a powerful Will when attacking her defenders, and she seemingly has lengthy arms to get tips/deflections defensively. This Winter a lot of the production will fall on Naughton. An opportunity I’m sure she is excited about looking forward.

is going to come into this weekend hungry and ready to roll. She is a Guard, that can move between the 1 and 2 position on the floor but her best ability is when she has the ball in her hands coming down the floor. This past high school season Naughton was an all conference honorable mention and she is looking to build on that moving forward. She is someone that can make plays coming down the stretch for whatever team she is on and I’m looking forward on seeing that this weekend. If she can lock in and do her usual thing out on there, her team is going to win a majority of their contests over the next few days. She just needs to come prepared and it will be downhill from there.

falls into this mix of top freshman because of her quick hands and the superior instincts that she has shown around the ball thus far this season. Naughton, a guard who is shooting 50% from behind the three point line, has been a ball hawk for the Lynx by grabbing 43 steals and dishing out 45 assists in their first 12 games. Both of these numbers rank her in the top 5 from freshman in the state in both categories. This is a program and team that is led by some senior leadership and it’s been the main reason for their success this season. With that being said, I think moving forward that Naughton is going to be a major part in the program and how they function toward the end of the season, going into the playoffs. She has had some good production so by making efficient, conservative choices on the offensive end and playing great defense. I hope to see both of these things grow into the future as she gets some more varsity experience.
