Addie Schilb is a player that is smart, extremely skilled, and she is someone that isn’t afraid to mix it up with anyone physically. This weekend in Waukee she pulled out some moves that really shocked the crowd. One was a seasoned step through move at the basket off of a two foot jump stop, while the others was a hard take to the rim as she was looking for a bucket and the foul. Schilb might not be the best shooter on her M14 team but don’t get it twisted, she can play. When she is on the floor, it’s noticeable and not everyone can say that.

Dealing with Addie on both sides of the ball will be a long game for most. In tonight’s matchup, I think she’ll be tasked with guarding one of the better players due to her ability to cause problems and make things harder for her opponent. Solid upside.

Schilb has a motor and an energy about her that can’t be taught. She’s constantly moving and her need to stay active on both sides of the court can’t be denied. Offensively she can get to the rim with a couple moves and can finish with or without contact. Defensively, her speed and discipline are key to her having lockdown moments.

She can score in bunches from all over, but especially from attacking the rim. Her ball handle is strong, and she’s willing to do whatever is needed out of her in that possession. A seamlessly fitting guard who can excel where ever she’s placed.

Schlib’s skillset is beyond well rounded. She can do whatever you need out of a player, while also bringing energy to every possession. On the offensive side of the ball she can get to the rim, knockdown the long ball, or run the offense. Strong vision and an aggressive mindset. Defensively, the same mindset applies.. matched with balance and the willingness to dive on the floor. Strong potential.
