Addison is very unique and difficult to define by a position. To begin with, she is extremely long, wiry, and bouncy. Defensively, she is probably best at acting as a rim protector, where she does block/alter shots regularly. At the same time, she can come out on the floor and defend bigger wings and forwards. Offensively, she has never been a big scorer, but she can make an open jumper, plus she has a solid handle at her height. If she can ever be a more consistent multilevel scorer, I think she could draw a lot of interest.
I’ve seen Addison a couple of times with her high school team over the last couple of seasons, but this July I was able to catch her with the Southwest Elite team, and she shows a lot of potential. I know she has picked up some small college interest/offers since, and for good reason. She is extremely long, wiry-strong, bouncy, and she can run the floor. She is still developing a consistent offensive game, but defensively, she is a really nice rim protector, she pursues rebounds outside of her area, and she has enough athleticism to sit down in a stance and defend out on the perimeter.
I saw Addie early in the high school season, but it was good for me to see her Sunday in a grassroots setting as well. She is extremely long, wiry-strong, and fluidly athletic with some bounce. Right now, she is primarily a defender and a rebounder, but she does a nice job of affecting the game at the defensive end of the floor. She can rotate over and act as a rim protector, she can sit down and defend the perimeter a little, and she is solid using her length to discourage her own matchup inside. She will also box out and pursue rebounds. Offensively, she has some skill but just needs repetition.
Addison is a long, wiry-strong, multisport athlete who excels in other realms as well. She is a solid all-around athlete, she can play around the paint with her size, she is really effective in the mid-post, plus she can step out and knock down the occasional 3-pointer. She’ll need to play a little lower when defending the perimeter, but she definitely has some unique qualities at her size to play with nice versatility at all three levels.
