Akealyes has had an outstanding career at Turtle Mountain and has helped their girls basketball team regain a ton of respect throughout the state. These last couple of years has shown that they can compete with anyone and care a lot about hoops. Azure was a key piece on both sides of the ball. She was a tough-nosed defender and wasn’t afraid to get scrappy. She also did a great job on offense. She was a double-figure scorer and statistically the second best three-point shooter on her team. She finished her season averaging 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
