Akealyes has had an outstanding career at Turtle Mountain and has helped their girls basketball team regain a ton of respect throughout the state. These last couple of years has shown that they can compete with anyone and care a lot about hoops. Azure was a key piece on both sides of the ball. She was a tough-nosed defender and wasn’t afraid to get scrappy. She also did a great job on offense. She was a double-figure scorer and statistically the second best three-point shooter on her team. She finished her season averaging 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

Turtle Mountain sits at 6-1 and is one of the best teams in Class A. Akealyes is a big reason to their early season success. The 5’9 combo guard is a two-way threat, effective on both sides of the floor. She is a an athletic player who is able to get up the floor in transition. She is one of four girls on her team averaging double-figures, currently sitting at 11.3 points per game. She has 10 made three-pointers on the season and is shooting it at 36%, a fantastic percentage. Look for the physical Azure to be in contention for an All-Region selection in 2026.

Azure is a key returner on a very good Turtle Mountain team. She is one of three really good players that will take the brunt of the scoring duties. She is a physical forward who does a great job of using her strength to get to the basket. She is a good defender and rebounder. The Braves will be really good defending near the basket and an excellent rebounding team due to Akealyes and her teammate Emberlyn Poitra Emberlyn Poitra 6'0" | PF Turtle Mountain | 2026 State ND .

Akealyes had a really nice season and was critical to Turtle Mountain’s success this year. She is a great scoring option and helps carry the load on a team that will return its three top scorers. She is an athletic guard and moves well on the floor. She plays with toughness and grit and is a good defender. I predict Turtle Mountain making another run at the state tournament next year and Akealyes being a big reason why.

Akealyes had a great season for Turtle Mountain.  She is a great role player, doing a great job of defending and rebounding.  She plays hard and is a reliable player for her team.  She can finish in transition and will knock down the open shot.  She is a great third scoring option for Turtle Mountain. She finished the season averaging 10 points per game, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

Akealyes is a good athlete and competitor. She is a solid defender and uses her arms well in walling off opponents on their shots near the basket. She closes out well which allows her to keep her girl in front of her defensively. She is a worker near the rim, battling for offensive rebounding opportunities. Akealyes has a great motor and plays with passion on the floor.
