Lovett has not only become a Lakewood legend, with future players aiming to break her scoring record, but also one of the best to come out of the St. Pete area.

She has the handles to get to any spot on the floor, the confidence and swagger to take any shot she feels is open, and the work ethic and skill to make those shots. If you ever need a player to just go get you a bucket, Lovett is who you call on. Lovett has to be guarded as soon as she crosses half-court, and sometimes even earlier, as she can knock it down from deep consistently. Lovett has scored over 1,500 points in her high school career, averaging 19.1 PPG. She is a scoring machine who can create her own shot. Lovett will fit well into any free-flowing offense at the next level, and any tough adjustments she faces, she will overcome, as she is the ultimate competitor.

Over the Invitational, the point guard scored 21, 18, and 20 points. Lovett can shoot the three, she can score in the midrange, and she can get to the rim.

In 11 games this season. Lovett has reached double digits in nine of them. Lovett could handle the ball, and played solid defense, but her shooting stood out amongst a lot of great shooters in the building.

Lovett can shoot it—and shoot it from anywhere. I once watched her walk to the volleyball line on the court, shoot the ball, and everyone knew it was going in. She then came down again, and while the defender got a little closer, they still left too much room, and she made it from the same spot again.

Lovett is a threat with the ball in her hands. Not only can she shoot, but she also has excellent handles, making her dangerous off the dribble. Every time Lovett shoots, you can tell she believes every shot is going in. It’s clear she lives by the philosophy that “the only shots you miss are the ones you don’t take.”

Last season, Alahni averaged 20.5 PPG, scoring 574 points in the season, with a season-high of 32 points and one game where she made six three-pointers. She eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone in her junior year and is well on her way to hitting 1,500 points in her senior season, currently sitting at 1,246 points.
