There was a noticeable burst to everything King did on the floor, from chasing down rebounds to taking off in transition. She played with a sense of urgency and showed a willingness to compete for possessions that didn’t always seem to belong to her, particularly on the glass. I was disappointed when King got taken out of the game because she’s such an energizer bunny and so fun to watch. She helped her team find easy buckets in transition offense all day. The next step in King’s development is making sure she doesn’t play too fast for her own good. If she lets the game slow down a bit and come to her, she can be an even more effective energy plug for her team.

Getting a bucket on King isn’t an easy thing to do. She is active, relentless, and has solid feet when guarding side to side. That same toughness shows up on the boards, where she doesn’t allow her size to stop her from going after anything near her. She plays twice her size, and that same aggressive approach carries over offensively, where she’s hard to stay in front of once she gets going at full speed. Strong talent.

A high energy guard who likes to play aggressively and doesn’t seem to have a stop button, which works in her favor. She can be patient and play with pace when needed, but the pressure she puts on the defense keeps them backing up. She has the ability to facilitate and control the offense in the half court.

King has the scoring ability to put up 20+ on most matchups.. regardless of her size. She plays the game with aggression and a bit of smoothness as well. She has a strong handle and a soft touch when she gets to the rim off breaking down defenders. A player to watch this AAU season.
