Alexa is someone who is going to be fighting for playing time next season. Century is one of the favorites to win the State Title, so the competition for playing time is going to be very tough. Who is going to play great defense? Who is going to knock down open threes? Who is going to get rebounds? Johnson is someone who could come in and fill those roles. She is a strong athlete and works hard at the little things. She is able to step out and knock down the three.
Alexa is a fellow Patriot playing alongside Lakyn on their Impact AAU team. It is always fun to play summer hoops with your high school teammates. Playing with a teammate on an AAU team can bring chemistry to the high school season, both on the floor and off the floor. Alexa played limited minutes last season for Century’s varsity but will be itching to earn some more next year. Last weekend she hit multiple three-pointers and showed her range. She has strong legs and hustled after loose balls to retain possessions. She plays like a typical Patriot player: tough and gritty.
