Hecht’s in-ring name would be the “H-Train.” She is the quickest member of this team and would be our high flyer. I have seen her jumping skills on the volleyball court and hope I get a chance to see play round ball this winter. She can score from deep, run the court, and score in a variety of fashions. The Wamego senior is ranked No. 15 overall and has verbally committed to the University of Nebraska-Kearney. The soon-to-be graduating Red Raiders’ finishing move would be “Red Lightning,” a heel-kick ala Shawn Michaels’ “Sweet Chin Music.”

I scouted Hecht’s volleyball game last month, and she can still jump out of the gym after recovering from a lower-body injury. She has verbally committed to playing basketball for the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. She has registered 135 kills and 193 digs in 60 sets played this season. She has a legit chance to reach the 1,000-career mark in kills and digs by the end of this season. She can play point or shooting guard for the Red Raiders and is a threat to score from deep. She is currenlty ranked No. 15 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas.

So I have had a bittersweet time trying to scout Wamego the past couple of seasons. Player injuries and bad weather have canceled expected trips to the fine Northeastern Kansas town the past two seasons. Hecht is ranked No. 15 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She recently verbally committed to play basketball for the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. I hope to see her and the Red Raiders at least once this winter.

During AAU season it is fair to say that Alexis Hecht is someone that stands out in each game she competes in. Her team’s might not win every one but it’s never due to a lack of hustle, determination, or Will. Early today Hecht committed to D2 – UNK to compete following her Senior year of high school ball in Kansas this upcoming Winter. It’s only right that Hecht would compete out of NE for college ball. She has been fantastic the past few years with ETG and hopefully she can keep that momentum going into the next level when she finally gets there.

of Wamego has quietly built one of the most impressive résumés in the state. A multi-sport athlete and dynamic backcourt leader, Hecht brings a unique mix of scoring, playmaking, and defensive intensity that consistently sets her apart. She is a confident shooter and efficient beyond the arc. Her game isn’t just limited to scoring, as she is a talented rebounder and plays lock-down defense. With her well-rounded skill set, toughness, and proven production at both the high school and club level, she is primed for a big senior season—and deserves the attention of college programs looking for a two-way impact guard with a winner’s mentality.

Alexis Hecht is as smooth as they come. When Hecht comes down the floor she is always looking to facilitate for others but her jumper from deep is impressive in itself. When Hecht see’s one go in from distance, you better watch out cause she can score 30 in a hurry. She played more of a duo guard this weekend out on the floor between the 1, 2 and even 3 spot. If she got the ball off a rebound, she would push but if someone else did, she knew to run in transition for a look down the court. All in all, Hecht did a good job of showing off her well-rounded game against some national competition this past weekend. Something she should be proud of but not satisfied with.

has an important Junior High School season ahead but I have a feeling that she is going to make the most of it and thrive. She has been someone all AAU season that can knock down shots from all offensive levels, while being someone who can create for others off the dribble as she is going toward the paint. They have a little different team competing this weekend after adding Williams and Miller, so there are less attempts to go around meaning everyone has to make the most of their opportunities and Hecht has done that. She has been good for 7-10 PPG, as she also sets up others and that’s respectable.

ETG Midwest Elite 3SSB 16U got their first win of the weekend in dominant fashion on Friday. A big time leader for this group on Day 1 was Scoring Guard, Alexis Hecht. Hecht is an aggressive prospect, who takes what the defense gives her and that was on full display on Friday. She was the leading Guard for this team in a number of different categories throughout their contest and I don’t think that is going to change the rest of the weekend or even the rest of this season. She is going to be a main offensive option for her group and if others over-play, she is going to find an open teammate. It’ll be interesting to see how Day 2 goes for everyone but today, Hecht definitely stood out.

Another very talented Guard joining this program for a second straight season out of the State of Kansas is Alexis Hecht. Hecht was one her high school team’s starting Varsity Guard’s this past season and she absolutely killed it. Her team may have come up just short of a State Title but that doesn’t change the fact that she was a vital factor to her team’s success as a scorer and playmaker. From everything I have seen on film, Hecht is Elite in her scoring ability with a shifty dribble and smart head on her shoulders. She understands the situation her team is always in, while being about to navigate to the bucket in a number of different ways. A question I love to ask prospects as an evaluator is; When your best ability is cut off or taken away, what else can you bring to the table? I think that Hecht has proven time-and-time again that she is never really cut off. If someone takes away a lane or an ability of hers, she simply adapts to the second or third thing she does best and it always seems to yield some impressive results. Again, this team is LOADED with talent at the Guard position. So much so that I’m not too sure who you even start at some spots. I’m assuming it’s been a battle in practice to figure all that out but as an individual, there is a lot to love about this prospect right here. That is for sure.

was a player that put up some really big numbers over the past weekend for her ETG Midwest 15U 3SSB team. Hecht is a quick shooting guard with the ability to score in waves if the defense doesn’t step up. Once she gets on a roll, she can be hard to stop, especially with her ability to see the open floor and make a good pass to an open teammate. Over the past 8 games Hecht averaged 15 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 4 APG, and 3.4 SPG. Not to mention that she had a game scoring 32 points on 7-10 shooting from behind the arc. Some pretty impressive numbers when you consider that Hecht is playing up a year and she is still the most consistent player on this team. Moving forward, I’m expecting to write about Hecht a few more times before her high school career comes to an end. She plays high school ball out in Kansas and is sure to be making a big impact this upcoming winter.
