Expert Analysis
Chris Robinson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Neumann emerged as one of the premier prospects in attendance, showcasing a rare blend of size, skill, and defensive presence. Standing 6-foot-2 with advanced guard abilities, Neumann controlled the paint defensively by blocking shots, altering attempts, and forcing opponents into difficult decisions around the rim. Her rebounding and ability to immediately push the pace sparked transition opportunities for Havok throughout the event. Already holding multiple Division I offers, Neumann continued to strengthen her reputation as a high-level prospect with a dominant all-around performance.

Neumann has made a major leap this year in her skillset and overall growth as a player. Her main attribute is her size, and she has hit a pretty significant growth spurt over the past two years… which points to a strong foundation both height wise and frame wise. In most situations her offensive impact is looked at first, but I believe coaches will be taken back by her energy and defensive versatility as well. She can guard 2-4 and cause serious issues for a center, and has no problem being switched to the 1 guard.

Neumann has truly grown her skill set over the past couple of years, and with her frame starting to grow and fill out, she’s showing flashes of a legit player at the D1 level. She is relentless, tough-nosed, unselfish, and still ultra aggressive. She had another dominant highschool season and led her program to another state tournament appearance. She will for sure be a player to follow this upcoming AAU season.

Neumann had everyone on the edge of their seats when she was on the floor this weekend. The athleticism, the no wait attitude, and her ability to score efficiently did not go unnoticed. Out of the starting five, she may be the only one who is basketball first, yet she still helped lead her team to this moment. She is one of those players who still has nothing but room to grow and could get even better at the next level. | Tournament Average 18ppg, 8.5rebs, 59.3% FG

Neumann has consistently been one of the best players in this state, and that showed on the opening day of the 3A state semifinal. From the start, her athleticism stood out, along with her ability to switch roles while still maintaining efficiency. Whether the moment called for scoring, defending, or simply making the right play, she adjusted without the game speeding her up. What really sticks out is how much room there still is in her game. This kid still has another level to unlock in her skill set, and when she does, you are going to have a problem. | 20 pts, 11 rebs, 5 stls.

Neuman has came up big for Glenwood all season. She put up 25 and 10 in their sectional championship, and she will look to continue that output tonight. Alexis is physical on the boards, creating extra opportunities for her team. Neuman doesn’t shy away from contact, but can also find an open jumper. Alexis is someone to pay attention to in the game tonight.

Neumann has been receiving offers recently, and with her college ready frame and versatile skillset.. It’s not hard to see why. She was a key player in why her team went to the state finals some years ago, which highlights her leadership and ability to be the focal point. However, the defense on both the perimeter and in the paint is what should truly stand out to coaches. A two way threat.

Over the past couple of years, Alexis has been a name to know in Illinois, and even some years back, she led her team downstate for a championship run. Her skill is versatile, and still growing, and when you add in her height and length, she makes up for a collegiate prospect that could have a strong career.

One of my favorite prospects in this class, mainly cause she goes unnoticed. Neumann is a pure athlete at 6’1, and when you have that type of athletic ability and size, sharpening a skillset is honestly not that difficult. Neumann was the focal point for her programs (3A) trip downstate this past winter.. which could be repeated this upcoming year. Without knowing too much on her travel ball situation, I’m looking forward to watching her and team for summer league.

Loved getting to see Neumann play in person during the finals. As a basketball enthusiast, I would love to see basketball be her primary sport but we will take what we can get. The 6’0″ freshman forward showed how she helped get her team to state. Led her team with points and rebounds. The ceiling is high for her.
