One of a few Lomega players in double figures. Lawson is a slashing wing, who helped pour it on the in the second half. Gets off the floor strongly and with some hops to rebound. Solid first step when driving to the rim. Good luck to teams this week trying to stop Lawson and Snowden off the bounce.

15 points and 7 rebounds in the third place game for the eventual All-Tournament selection. Felt like more of a traditional big during earlier seasons, but has a lot more guard skills that have developed. I think she could play the 3 in the college pretty easily. Does a great job in Lomega’s signature 2-2-1 press. Capable of taking defensive rebounds coast to coast. I think her elite skill is her body strength/control with her upper body. Has a spin she likes to do in the post and is able to consistently handle the contact to get good looks at the bucket.

To the surprise of no one, Lomega is at the top of the Class B rankings. They’ve made six straight state tournaments, winning 3 of those. If you go further back, the run is even more impressive with 16 State Titles, starting in 1955. With 8 of those titles in the last 20 years.
Those state titles include last year’s 53-43 win over Lookeba-Sickles. Lawson is an athletic, strong and long armed wing-forward who as a sophomore was a key part of their run last year. She’s continuing to be a disrupter on defense, with blocks, deflections and running down loose balls. Promising all around tools for Lawson and is part of a winning culture at Lomega.
