Expert Analysis
Brittany Magee | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Tarry capped off an impressive high school career as a four-year Varsity player and three-year team captain. She surpassed 1,000 career points while earning 1st Team All-District honors for the third consecutive year and 2nd Team All-Region recognition. Tarry consistently contributed across the stat sheet, setting the tone on both ends of the floor for the Chargers. Defensively, she anticipated passing lanes well, generating steals that often turned into coast-to-coast transition opportunities. Off the ball, Tarry moved with purpose, creating space along the perimeter for catch-and-shoot three-pointers.

had two great performances on back to back days for Chantilly. Alivia is a tough shot maker that does a great job not turning the ball over as the lead guard. She is quick and has a high IQ. She creates her own as a driver and shooter and is one of the top guards in NOVA. Alivia had 20 in a blowout over Westfield then had 18 in a big district win over Centreville.

is an efficient offensive player with a high IQ. She is a traditional point guard and competes on both ends of the floor. Alivia scored from all three levels and understands the game at a high level. Alivia doesn’t turn the ball over, and she knows how to truly orchestrate an offense. The Junior guard is a complete player and one of the more underrated players in NOVA.

is in for a huge year for Chantilly. Chantilly improved last year from the year prior, and I expect them to improve again this year. Alivia is a great scorer and has a fantastic basketball IQ. She has great quickness and is becoming a knockdown shooter. Alivia will rise the rankings even more than she already has, and I think she is one of the more under-scouted players in the area. She will be a massive part of a Chantilly team that will win close to if not more than 20 games.

saw the game today at a high level. When she was in transition or attacking the rim, she consistently made the right decisions. Her finishing at the rim was elite, and she had a few nice floaters. Alivia scored from all over the court and showed out all day. She was decisive and looked like a coach on the floor. Alivia is poised for a huge junior season on what should be a great Chantilly squad.

Alivia Terry didn’t have her greatest day scoring, and at times she forced a few shots. What I saw from her was the skill she posses on her buckets. She has a great handle and gets to the rim well. She is a good finisher and has a nice jump shot. What impressed me the most about Alivia was her passing. She was accurate and on time when finding players running the floor. Alivia is a great passer and a 3-level scorer. She is someone to watch on an under-the-radar Chantilly squad.

A good solid athlete that is quick and fast with the ball in her hands. She had quick twitch movement when going to the basket! Proved all day that she is a capable three level scorer with drives to the basket, the pull up, and the three point shot! A solid defender she had no problem staying in front of fast guards. A very underrated player that should open up some college coaches eyes but just needs to be seen!

was the most significant part of that. She is a high-IQ player who runs an offense well and is a good jump shooter. Alivia will take another jump this summer and is a player to watch as a potential riser.

has been forced into being Chantilly’s primary ball handler because of injury, and she has done a great job at it. Alivia matched Goodman with 15 points and was clutch down the stretch of this game. She had 8 fourth-quarter points and continued her outstanding play as of late.
