Phillips is a powerful and skilled forward who consistently establishes deep position in both the high and low post. Her turn-and-face game is a major strength, highlighted by excellent footwork and the ability to maneuver around defenders with ease. She is comfortable attacking off either shoulder and shows a natural feel for creating space in the paint.
When catching with her back to the basket, Phillips plays with great patience and poise. She keeps defenders on her hip, absorbs contact, and finishes through traffic, frequently drawing fouls and earning trips to the free-throw line.
On the glass, her strength and athleticism stand out as she attacks offensive rebounds, either carving out space with her strong base or using her quickness to crash in from the perimeter.

Aliyah is a versatile stretch-four who impacts the game on both ends. She’s an elite defender for her class, cleans the glass, runs the floor, and scores efficiently in the paint while also knocking down open threes. Her ability to do the little things, affect winning, and play a key role on a championship team makes her a Top 100 national prospect. Our scouts Connor Dodd and Don Small have taken notice!

Aliyah is a stretch 4 that had some big time games this past high school season. Does all the little things at a high level. One of the top defenders in her class; she moves well laterally, keeps her head on a swivel and keeps active hands. Cleans up the glass on the both ends. Attacks the basket with purpose + finishes well around the rim. Does a great job cutting/slashing off the ball to create scoring opportunities. Will knock down open 3 if left open.

Phillips had an impressive freshman season. It’s hard to be a star on a team full of them but the 6’3 freshman has made her mark already. Etiwanda is chasing back to back state championships. They will lean on their experienced starters but also look for the underclassmen like Phillips to fill the gaps. With a division 1 offer from Howard already, Aliyah will have no problem doing that.
