Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Relentless, passionate, and always hungry to improve, Allie Steffes will be entering her freshman year in the fall of 2025, ready to make an impact for her team. Known for her aggressive style of play on both ends of the court, she brings grit and a deep love for the game every time she steps on the hardwood. Newer to the game, after seven years of playing elite competitive softball.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Allie Steffes brings a rare blend of intensity and heart to everything she does. Incredibly competitive and driven, she holds herself to a high standard, sometimes to a fault. She's learning to turn self-pressure into mental toughness, using every challenge as fuel for growth. While she's fun-loving, she flips a switch once the whistle blows. On the floor, she's all business; focused, and fierce
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Other than her deep love my sports, I am involved in my church youth group, Fusion, at Abundant Life in Lee's Summit, MO. I attend a Christian private school, Summit Christian Academy where I serve regularly in community service projects. All other free time is spent on my sports.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Teamwork, community service, a faith based mindset, deeply competitive and I enjoy helping others. Playing for a team helps a person understand humility and working as and for a team, not just for ourselves.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I was diagnosed in 4th grade with Tourette Syndrome and OCD. This diagnosis was challenging, but also the struggles that comes with both diagnoses. Mental toughness has not always been easy on me, but therapy and sports has helped me improve in that area and grow to understand that our mindset is more important than our skill in life and in sports.
What type of college are you looking for?
My dream would be to play D1, but I know God is in control of my future and I will go where He leads me.
