Expert Analysis
Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Rossini blew me away with her “on the court” progression as I tweeted yesterday, “she’s playing with more poise and confidence.” Her jumper from deep looked good as she not only dropped the “catch and shoot” with a hand in her face, but she also created her shot under pressure. Court vision was solid as well, see evaluations here

Rossini has some solid upside as she’s been thrown into the fire early and is doing a good job of handling it. She’s going to get stronger and quicker, that’s evident, yet doing the simple things like “decision making” and “comprehension” will take her a long way. She understands positioning to rebound against taller players yet she also has solid court vision in the set as well as in transition. Her deceptive first step also looked good as she attacked and scored off the dribble

Rossini has had an advantage being around the game and watching her older sister Mila become one of the top players in the state. Without the need for a crystal ball, I see the same thing coming for Amanda as she was one of the Top Performers at the PGH Freshman Showcase see evaluation here but she’s heady, understands how to control the tempo, and handles the pressure with ease. On the flip, her scoring off the dribble as well as from outside adds more to her game

Rossini is becoming more than just a prototype point guard and since she understands how to not only run a team but also control the tempo, while being pressured, good things are in store. Her court vision is a big plus, so is her being heady, like following her shot and she stood out in the 3 on 3 as well see evaluation here

Rossini has been bouncing a ball for quite some time and watching her talented older sister, Mila, surely helped along the way. Her poise and deceptive first step got her by the defender to score yet she saw the floor from every angle and off the dribble. She created her shot and dropped the jumper yet just as importantly, she followed her shot
