About Amaris
Expert Analysis
Cedric Cobb | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Biancuzzo is as steady as they come. A true double-double presence who does the dirty work and produces efficiently. She rebounds at a high rate, finishes around the rim, and doesn’t shy away from contact. Underrated in the senior class, but college programs that value toughness and productivity should be paying attention. In a tournament setting, her consistency is a major advantage for Mica Mountain.

Biancuzzo is one of the top paint performers not only in Southern Arizona but in the state. She is very disruptive to her opponents plays and passes. She is currently averaging 10.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. She has a season high of 21 rebounds in a single game so far this season. Very strong in the post and moves really well with her feet to get to the basket. Strong screen setter and moves great in the pick and roll. A hidden gem coaches need to take a look at. Impacts the game at a high level.

One of the top forwards still available in the state. Biancuzzo rebounds anything within range. A dominant force in the paint on both ends of the court, Great shot blocking ability to go along with her high defensive IQ. She accounted for quite a few steals including one where she showed her ability to dribble the length of the court drawing the foul at the basket. Biancuzzo is strong and plays the game with passion.

Amaris is a beast in the paint on offense. Her size and strength make it difficult for defenses to cover her with just one defender. She is a monster rebounder, and don’t be surprised when she puts up multiple 20/20 games this upcoming season.

. The 2026 emerging star will be playing college basketball in a year from now. The question is where. Amaris has been a 2 sport athlete (Volleyball) her first 3 years in high school but has dedicated her Senior year to basketball only. She is a natural power forward that is a good athlete. She runs the floor well and she has good agility in the paint as a rebounder and offensive finisher. She has good size at 6’0″ and she has been dominant in stretches of games for Mica Mountain. I believe she will continue to hone her skills and develop into a top prospect in Southern Arizona. She will be playing in the UA Rise Session 2 in Indianapolis July 13-14, and UA Rise Final Session in Pennsylvania July 18-21.

Amaris is simply a player that can take over any game at any time and she proved just that at Section 7. I didn’t see a player account for more rebounds than she did. She racked up a game high 16 rebounds. Strong defender with a high motor who made it extremely difficult for opponents to score inside. She made a strong case as one of the top forwards at the event. The senior will gain attention as shes too impactful of a player to ignore.

is starting to come into her own the last month or so and has developed into a force in the Post. She is strong, she is versatile, and she is gaining confidence. She is a good rebounder and she is a solid rim protector for the Thunderbolts. She will be the difference in my opinion if the Bolts have a shot to win the State title.

is a player that is on the rise. She is a low post player that is getting more and more comfortable in that role. She is athletic for her size, and she is a very good defender and rebounder. She also is a solid passer out of the post which is impressive. If she keeps progressing, she could be a dominant player in Southern Arizona very soon.

has really elevated her stock the past year. She is a 3 sport athlete, so basketball is not full time for her. However, basketball may be what she does in College if she keeps developing. She has good size and strength, and she has a tremendous motor. Look for her to have a breakout season for Mica Mountain in 2024-2025.
