She is clearly a point guard by nature as demonstrated by the way that her eyes immediately look up the floor when the ball is in her hands, and she is constantly looking to find her teammates in optimal positions. She has had quite a few games like her 5 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals against Gresham, or her 9 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals in the game with Churchill, and as she gains more confidence as a scorer, she may have more games like her 14 points — including four 3’s — 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block over Reynolds. This game painted her as more than capable of scoring, and she also showed us a nice outside shot. One of Johnson’s best attributes is her ability to track down passes thrown by opposing teams using her excellent anticipation. Putting together all that she has to offer, Johnson will play a huge role in Hillsboro’s program in the coming years.
